I was suffering stage 4 cancer and treated at Mayo clinic. Vfw cafe was by hotel. I was in after each surgery and was treated beyond excellence by staff and customers. One customer even brought me in a home made pastry. After my surgeries i was at vfw cafe and with so many vets that i sure as hell couldnt complain about my injuries. Fast lunch service at 1PM. I had the French Dip w/ Steak Fries (perfect) and the Bone in Wings w/Scorpion Sauce (not hot for spicy lovers). Wings were cooked perfect. If you want a tangy sauce the Buffalo sauce may be a better option. Server Torrie K did a great job and didn't ask how I was doing while my mouth was full. Bill was with a Diet Coke and 22% tip $31.56

I attend a weekly meeting at the VFW and love the setting. Service is great, food is hot and plenty of parking. Also easy to get to off of the highway. Kristin and Cindel are the best!
