“These are by far my favorite macarons of all time. I’ve tried many macarons from different vendors and bakers and these has got to be the best in terms of flavor and texture. The shells are not cakey and definitely have the right consistency. And the flavors and buttercream are perfection. The buttercream is not too sweet to over power the flavor. And the buttercream is so airy; almost cream cheese like. I also need to add that the flavors are so delicious. Every flavor and new flavor taste as intended. Best flavors in my opinion: mango, raspberry, strawberry cheesecake, birthday cake chocolate and hazelnutty!!!“

“Wonderful spot close to Mississippi Market in St. Paul. There is a beautiful small park (when weather permits) to sit outside. The building itself is old and very Swedish even though the history of Swede Hollow is long-past, lots of "hygge" inside (yes I know it's Danish but they did own the country, kinda). A few tables downstairs, one cozy one on the mezzanine, 6-7 upstairs and a neat "conference room" with a very comfy cozy reading armchair. Coffee really good (Americano, Cubano), great selection, had a studenty-feel, but we are close to MSU. The food looked very good. One of my new favourite "Third Places"“

“I had a lovely visit into Nadia Cakes today. It’s been at the top of my list on my trip to MN. It’s a very cute cupcake shop that honors Abby and her talents. I wish I could try all the cupcakes they all sounded very delightful. I ended up getting the say you’ll remember me, the award winning cheesecake one, and honey bunny I think it was called and mmmmm it was perfect. I also loved that Abby has signed books in store. I guess it was my two in one stop shop. I was lucky enough to complete my signed books collection. Now… can we get a shop in Seattle?“

“Wonderful Experience at Ai Hues Bakery & Deli Next to Basil Cafe

I recently visited Ai Hues Bakery & Deli, located right next to Basil Cafe on University Avenue near Dale Street in St. Paul, and I was truly impressed. When I walked in, the place looked so nice, clean, and comforting-it immediately made me feel welcome. William was at the register and greeted me warmly, which added to the great first impression.

I highly recommend trying their Chrysanthemum Tea-a beautifully refreshing drink with a delicate floral sweetness that’s both soothing and delicious. It pairs perfectly with their food offerings. The congee (rice soup) I tried was the best I have ever had-rich, flavorful, and comforting in every spoonful.

I also bought three different steamed buns-savory pork, sweet taro, and another delicious variety-and they looked fantastic. I’m excited to try them soon!
