We went on a Sunday afternoon for my daughter and mine's late birthday dinner using a Groupon I had purchased for the Hudson location, but that closed. There were 4 of us, the service was great, the food was spectacular and the drinks ok. I only had a captain diet so not much excitement for that drink. We had mushroom risotto, which was delicious, the steak medley which all 3 pieces were melt in your mouth tender with great toppings, the sirloin steak which again was cooked...
My husband and I randomly stopped here one day for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! I ordered the soup of the day and half a sandwhich and he ordered the beet salad and some kind of egg roll (I can’t remember what kind, haha). Our food was fresh, had good textures, and my soup was seasoned well! The server was pleasant & was present when we wanted something but was never overbearing.
I've been to Bennett's many times. This was the first time I had a server that was less then attentive. She took our drink order and appetizer right away, then we sat there for over 30 minutes before she returned to take our dinner order. She was friendly, but not great on service and checking to make sure we had enough beverages, etc. The food was amazing as always, just disappointed with our server. Could've been better, considering we were there to celebrate...
