Edited from 5 stars to 3 to account for a bad experience: ordered takeout for 80 mins out- got a text message an hour early saying that my order was ready for pickup. I tried to call a few times- no answer. Went to pick up the food at the requested time, saw my takeout sitting at the bar and asked if this food has been ready and sitting here for an hour- one person behind the bar said yes. Just not at all the same!... We were there on a Saturday evening, and the place was empty (except for a couple at the bar)...Upon opening the huge menu, I quickly understood just why...prices had gone up about 25-30% since before CoVid. The food that we ordered was just okay (and not hot) ... Sadly, nothing at all was like the good fresh flavors that I had remembered. Always a good meal to be had here. I grew up in CA and have had Mexican food all my life. This little gem of a restaurant has consistently served authentic Mexican food with high quality ingredients. If you are looking for authenticity this is the place to go!
