Portions are small, but excellent food and dessert. Service was as good as anyone would need

We loved our dinner here - generous portions and affordable prices for a night out. Wine list was thoughtfully curated and well priced too. The Jell-O shots were such a fun touch! Especially loved the Goodbye Earl cocktail. We had a number of outstanding dishes. The overall winner was the steak tartare but the grilled prawns and scallops were wonderful as well.

My wife and I live on a fixed income because I am heavily and visibly disabled. We arrived at Gus Gus for the first time and gave our name for a table for 2. We explained I can't do the bar tables, the hostess said it would be 30 minutes give or take for the table. We waited the roughly 30 minutes and received a text that the seats at the bar were ready. We went in and asked how much longer for the table that we had put our names down for and were told that we wouldn't be able to get a table but maybe we could try to wait another hour. Because we had already waited, I attempted to go to the bar. I couldn't sit in the seat without pain from one of my disabilities. We tried to explain this to the hostess and we were met with hostility and callousness. The hostess is clearly and ableist who doesn't recognize that some people can not physically do things. After my wife attempted to reason with this hostess, we decided to leave. We drove 3 minutes over to local rumor, who also only had space at the bar. We were about to go somewhere else but then they asked how they could accommodate us. What a breathe of fresh air.

TL;DR - Gus Gus treated us terribly before we even ate. Decided to try Local Rumor around the corner and the level of service is night and day. Skip Gus Gus if you want to be treated like a human being.

I love the Brussel Sprout dish! Very great service. I feel like the dishes are very unique! Prices were also on the affordable luxury side which is a plus! Small venue but cute vibes! Perfect for date night

Epic food, service and atmosphere is so cute! Only complaint is how loud it gets, it’s hard to have a convo without yelling and can’t hear anything. They do mention that on their website so we were well aware to expect that.
Ian, our server was on point, so friendly and fun.
We ordered the shishitos, prawns and burger. Cocktails and wine list are great. Chefs kiss

Wow. Just wow. Started off our anniversary dinner with the fried gnocchi with oxtail and cheese curds. It was absolutely amazing. Had the cheeseburgers with fries for dinner, this place 1000% deserves all the accolades. This burger was gooey and cheesy and messy and blew our ever loving minds. We brought home some Buttermilk pie that we are excited to try! Will definitely be back! ♥️♥️♥️
Edit: the Buttermilk pie was fantastic!
