The sushi is so good, the attendant was very friendly, he gave us free miso soup, and they’re playing classical music. 10/10 airport food experience

Been here before, good grub but stupid expensive. Went through this time and wanted to get $70 of sushi and went up to the counter. Lady was rude and pointed me to the self serve kiosk that didn't have the to-go sushi on there. How hard would it have been to ring up my 3 items real quick? Put my boxes back and got really good chicken right down the way. No thanks to rude businesses.

Absolutely amazing place, I’m an international student from the uk and I went to buy some sushi and realised they were closed, however they told me to pick up what I needed… without a doubt the friendliest service I’ve ever encountered inside and outside of an airport. Had great conversations with the staff and they even came and found me when they were off their shift to say goodbye and gave me a gift. Absolutely amazed with their friendly nature and kindness. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for feeding a sushi loving kid! Will be back when possible!

I only had beer here, but the server was so kind—they even offered to let me enjoy my Shake Shack burger at their bar.

Made dozens of sailors and marines go to medical, standing in medical at this moment and there’s like 20 of us that got food poisoning from this place in pensacola
Fast and better than expected. Great for airport sushi. 15 minutes from ordering to being finished eating my roll.

Please don’t come here! $5 for each piece of basic nigiri. I asked for salmon nigiri, and although they had it as part of a nigiri set, they wouldn’t serve me it alone. I had to opt for the $20 4 piece set of sub par sushi. They serve it all on plastic with a lime wedge. And the miso soup comes with a black plastic spoon. If you know much about plastics, black is the worse for you especially if heated up. You would be better off not eating.
They add a 4.5% gratuity that’s “not a gratuity”. After some research it’s clear they are in someone’s pockets at the state level. They somehow got an exception from the new law that’s kicking in January 1, 2025.
The state of Minnesota will be outlawing junk fees as of January 1, 2025, but only outside of the airport. Rather than being a forward thinking organization, they have chosen to leave this in place when it’s clear that it will be soon outlawed more broadly in the state, and more importantly not favorable to popular opinion. This review reflects that.
I realize that airport prices are high, and by going, I agree to pay. But don’t add insult to injury and add an unnecessary tip that’s not a tip. Just increase the price by 4.5%.
Other than the junk fees, the food was okay, and service was okay, albeit slow since there were only 4 other patrons sitting down.

Great, quiet view spot with comfy bar chairs, Excellent sushi, maybe the freshest I’ve had. Nice wines. All very reasonable. If you’re in a rush, the daily made sushi grab and go is very popular they say. I recommend to come for your flight early and enjoy this spot.

Good for airport sushi. Of course it’s overpriced, but what else in the airport isn’t. Server was great!

I will never go with this place again. It a total rip off. I had a poke bowl and a miso soup. The portion is tiny, and the $7.50 miso soup is in a paper cup. With tips I paid $37. I ended up so hungry that I went down the lane and had another full meal with a different vendor.Food prices have gone up I got it, but this is robbery. $20 for a poke bowl is okay and I take that we are in a premium location in an airport, but at least feed the travelers! $37 for finger food and salty water. The other meal I had immediately after down the aisle I paid $15 total for a happy and satisfying meal. I am a foodie and I am no junk meal lover and Hissho ain’t fancy authentic Japanese food, although it’s got that price.Don’t want to lay it on the staff - they are nice.

Good sushi but a bit overpriced for the food around the rest of the food court. I ordered the mango and salmon poke bowl. The fish and mango were quite nice however the rest of the bowl had a massive piece of lettuce in it that was a bit hard to deal with. Great flavor and great service, just needs a bit more put togetherness. Freshest food in the airport though.

Just had worst experiences with the company.
Had the firecracker roll. Was fresh made but the ingredients were a bit tired.

Inconsistent hours of operation, unreliable closing times, and mysterious outage periods where they close early for no reason. This is for the Rockford, MI location at the Meijer store here in town. The Hisso Sushi restaurant is supposed to remain open until 7pm every night (which is, in itself, a rather miserly/unrealistic time to close up shop.) But almost every day of the week, they refuse to stay open, and arrogantly close their store early, sometimes at 6pm, sometimes at 5pm! Even the Meijer corporate Store Director is frustrated and baffled at this poor judgment and astounding lack of consistency from a tenant that is contractually OBLIGATED to be remain open during DINNER hour to serve customers. If Hisso Sushi cannot figure out how to ensure reliable hours of operation 100% of the time, then there are plenty of other restaurants out there happy to take over their tenant-space inside the Meijer store.
