Terrible internet. Union Depot still, after 8 months of promising to fix it, has terrible internet. My phone and my laptop cannot even load ESPN or my gmail on the UnionDepotGuestWifi.

Was looking for it and couldn't found it. There was no signs or direction posted. I did see Amtrak and found out they go to Seattle, so it looks like I will be going to Seattle to get Seattle's Best Coffee....

I can't stop talking about the lunch I had today. My lunch was so delicious. I can truly say there is soul in this food. I have worked downtown St. Paul for 14 years and I had no idea this place had food. If you are close by don't walk but run to this place. The service and ambiance are great! The also have sweet tea. This place will definitely be one of my go to lunch spots from now on.

I got served a latte in a little styrofoam cup that tasted like it came out of a machine. On a hot day in summer she had to make a terrible iced coffee, once again in a small styrofoam cup. The most uninviting coffee house I've been in. I love a good neighborhood coffee place. Mpls / St. Paul is overflowing with them: people on their computers, writing in journals and hanging out. No one's in here. Looks like a factory break room with terrible coffee. I asked the woman behind the counter if they get much traffic and she got very defensive. Patronizing a coffee house because you feel sorry for the place is not reasonable. I wonder if the people that gave a good review have ever been in a real coffeehouse?

Very relaxed place to go, coffee is pretty good. If you go on Saturday, try their "Mama's Juice" It is not always available, but sometimes it can be on Saturdays when Mama is in.

I hate being this guy (particularly because the staff is so nice) and usually give 5-star or none at all, but the current 4.6 rating mislead myself and my friend independently of each other. I asked for iced americano and iced soy latte, when we saw they were about to serve them hot to us, we politely reminded them the drinks were iced, so they were poured over ice (which is not how to do it), it resulted in two watery drinks that we trashed shortly thereafter but couldn't bring ourselves to go complain because the ladies working there were so nice. Later that day we met up with a friend who was visiting that started telling me the same exact story, so at least we got a good laugh out of it, unfortunately not good coffee.
My train was delayed so I decided to grab some breakfast and I am SO GLAD I did! I was expecting some pre-made microwaved sandwich and what I got was a hot, fresh-cooked egg and sausage sandwich on a delicious English muffin! The two ladies working there were very nice and brightened up my morning!

Stopped here over Christmas since our Amtrak was delayed. Two ladies opened the shop, greeted us and told us to come in right away! They were super welcoming and made a wonderful coffee and breakfast sandwich. Great place to stop, will be stopping again next trip.

Visiting the twin cities from New York city. I decide to take the bus around and found this jewel at the Union Depot, a modern/chic cafe with healthy choices. The owner prepared a special breakfast for me since I had dietary needs. Very friendly. The food was delicious and the place clean and well equipped. 5 starts!!!!!
