Small, cozy venue to see jazz! They changed their food menu by partnering with a BBQ place—not my favorite—but I did enjoy the truffle fries. The waitstaff of 1 did their best to take care of the full crowd there to see Mississippi Hot Club. I’m pretty sure kj could have sold a lot more food and drinks if they had more people. Mississippi Hot Club played for 2 hours and they were awesome! Parking in St Paul was not cheap due to the Minnesota-Wild-game-parking-gouge fee.

Ok, this is a sweet place. But this band IS NOT JAZZ. Rockabilly at best. I like them, but not what I expected. Please inform your social media people to actually listen to the music before posting about about. Again tonight's band IS NOT JAZZ. If you had said this was a country band 10/10 this place would be packed RN. Just sayin.

Love the vibe and of course the music but cocktails were super sub par for the price. My Aquila Bee tasted like all lime juice it was supposed to have a Mezcal float but didn't taste anything at all other than lime. We ordered truffle fries and they took about 40 minutes to get to the table (we were one of the only tables in the building so not busy) and they were soggy little spuds lol. I'd recommend going there for wine (had a nice wine pour!) Or beer and watching a show but skip on the food and cocktails. Hopefully they can figure out better food and cocktail options! It would be a fun vibe to have a great cocktail in.

kj’s Hideaway is a super cool little music venue and bar. It has a very chill atmosphere, seriously the ambiance is fantastic. It’s definitely worth checking out!
