“Sole Cafe is a gem. This is a family-run and no-frills spot, with a cozy wooden interior and a TV playing K-Dramas or Korean Sports (at a modest volume--this is no sports bar). It's tough to wrong with the menu. If you're with a modest group, I'd suggest going family-style. Grab a grill item like their Jeyuk Bokkeum (spicy pork stir fry) or Kalbi (short ribs), a big Bibimbap, and stew like Seolleongtang (or Yukaejang for the spice lovers). Add a couple appetizers on too, their Tteokbokki and Mandu are both favorites of mine. Don't be afraid to ask the owner/server for recommendations or dietary restrictions either, they're very accommodating. The most special part about Sole Cafe though is that it's a real facet of the community. Don't be surprised when people drop in to just chat with the owner! I hope Sole Cafe remains successful in the tough years since the pandemic that have seen so many beloved restaurants go under. I'd highly recommend checking this place out whether you're looking for something new, or something familiar.“
“We ordered the Teokboki, KunMandoo, Chajangmyun, and Gal Bee! The Teokboki was incredibly soft and great level of spiciness. The Gal was thicker cut than ive ever had it in any other restaurant and was so tender! The kimchi was so crunchy and not too spicy! 10/10 experience and the staff was so nice! Really funny too!“
“Incredible food and service. We have eaten here regularly and highly recommend their Kim Bop, kimchi rice, Golgabi (mackerel with red pepper sauce), Japchae and Haemul-pajeon (seafood pancake). Honestly, anything here won't go wrong. Their variety of soups such as Sundubu Jigae (spicy tofu soup) or soup with green onions and oxtail if you are not into spicy food. Service is prompt and courteous and they know us so well that they adapt our specifications without asking and always bring us hot tea (green and ginseng are great.)“
“Had a classic? over lunch and it was pretty tasty! Got an unexpected call from Emily the owner. She expressed how sorry she was for how long the order took, due to unforseen circumstance. She did not have to make that phone call, but it spoke volumes about her integrity and dedication to service! Please check this place out!“
“The experience at this restaurant was nothing short of amazing. We had never had Korean food and they were helpful with recommendations. After a long time deciding, we had the kimbap, bulgogi, and gal bi. All of them were delicious and so flavorful. They gave us sides of daikon radish, kimchi, and cucumber salad and even gave us more when we had ran out.I will be coming back again! The service was phenomenal and I'm excited to try something new next time!“
“Amazing chicken, fries, and Bahn Mi. Service is impeccable definitely suggest spending your time and money here!Wheelchair accessibility: There are 2 accessible parking spots for this small strip mall that has 3-4 businesses in it. When really busy it may be a little hard to maneuver and get parking but usually it’s not a issue“
“The venue is cramped but their food is very authentic and spicy! Newcomers to Korean cuisine, beware: heed their warnings about spice levels. “Very Spicy” and “Very Very Spicy” have put me in tears. But tasty. Try the stew with beef + octopodes; seafood; everything else on their menu is delicious too.“
“I love a good Korean meal! I love the 1/2 & 1/2 chicken wings: spicy good or garlicky good. I always recommend the doltsot Bibimbop (in the HOT stone bowl) so you can enjoy some toasted rice at the bottom of the stone bowl! 1 star taken off since they charge for banchon (the side dishes that usually accompany a good Korean bowl!) and it’s a little pricey for no kimchi or radish“
“Brother, let me tell you that THIS is how to do Karaoke right here. Spicy rice cakes, bulgogi, and a private room to absolutely belt out some songs with great friends. You gotta come here and try it out if you have not yet. Don’t settle for dive bar karaoke !“
“Wife and I had the chance to dine here, in the malcolm yards, today. I'll be willing to go on a limb, and say their fried chicken Sammy, is better than revivals. The char sui, jasmine rice ( just trust me on this) and the kimchi slaw were all on point. However, the most pleasant surprise I had, was how well the sliced chili's and fried leeks went with the french fries. definitely will be returning soon to give the cauliflower, and sesame fried chicken a whirl.“
“Held my kid's 9th birthday party here. Getting a group of 3rd grade girls singing their hearts out for hours was amazing. The venue wasn't what I expected, but they were super gracious and had a good enough selection of American pop songs to keep this party going. Everyone had a great time!“
“Before dining: I would suggest don't go during the weekend because we have been waiting for 2 1/2 hours. We've been told it'll be "another 20-30 mins" but ended up being another hour. Super busy especially during dinner time. If dining during the weekends, I suggest to go earlier like an hour if you have an appointment with someone. I'd also suggest to call and ask how's the waiting line. I wish there was a way to join the waiting line online that way it'll be an easier in and out situation than waiting in the car/inside for so long. During: The food was decent. It was flavorful. They have a sauce bar, side dishes, and a couple of desserts. The robot will be bringing the food to you. We got our grill change like 4-5 times which was pretty neat. The Tom Yum broth is spicy and pretty good. After: The pricing for AYCE KBBQ + Hot Pot for 5 people was $210, which wasn't terrible. Will have to pay + tip before getting seated.“
“Favorite Korean Restaurant!! Exceptional service and dishes. Staff is great at answering questions or offering suggestions about dishes. Enjoyed a hotpot with soki.Kid-friendliness: Staff caters to group needs, been there in group of 2 to 12.“
“Tried out this place last Sunday for dinner. There was a large group of about 6 people that were ordering from the kiosk when we got there so we ordered takeout from the workers. Both of the workers were friendly and polite. After we ordered they had a steady stream of customers coming in so weekdays may be a better bet to try them out if you don't want to wait as long. It took about 25 minutes for our order. We got 16 each of the honey garlic, original spicy, and gangnam style wings. We also ordered the kimchi fried rice and rose ddeok-bokki. We made it all the way back to Woodbury and the wings were still super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! My favorite were the honey garlic, they are more sweet than savory. The gangnam style was the most sauced and it was savory and tangy. The rest of my family raved about the original spicy which was more of a dry seasoning. The wings were good sized wings too! Of the other two dishes we got, I enjoyed the rose ddeok-bokki the most. It was very creamy and more mild in flavor than other ddeok-bokki I've tried before. Can't wait to try them again the next time we are in the area!“
“Fantastic Korean and Korean fusion - so many fun combos of crunchy/spicy/tangy/umami/sweet. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered and can't wait to come back. The drink menu was also fun! Ambience is a K-pop party. We did get there right at 5:30 and there was a bit of a line, but we were seated right away.“
