Wish I visited the Minneapolis location. Not greeted by the hostess or the bartender that was also our waiter. Poor communication and unfriendly vibes. It’s just lame to enjoy food at a new restaurant and the service is wack.
My Torta was awesome. The food arrived fast. The Zona Rosa salsa was amazing. My tap beer pint was sticky from overpouring. The local beer selection was cool though.
I don’t think I’d come back.

Used to be one of our favorite Mexican places in Twin cities. First time stopping back in the last year or so and we were a bit disappointed. Being sat in the bizarre back room was a bit odd and I’m sad to say that the Zona Rossa salsa has gone from being a spicy creamy salsa to being very watery and bland. The carnitas nachos were great but our shrimp ceviche tostada was under seasoned and the shrimp tasted like they were pre-cooked before being used in the ceviche. At the end of the day, Nico’s is still a decent restaurant, but at its price point the quality of the food seems to have fallen a bit from its peak.

Nicely diverse S. Mexican menu, with several items is not heard of before.
Pozole stew very salty soup, though tasty.
Elote grilled corn cob very nice, not "sweet corn."

Great food. There was only one server working during our early lunch visit. They did a good job keeping up with all the tables.
Kid-friendliness: Nico's has a more adult vibe.

It's ok. Kind of pricy if you want to be satisfied. Food was good.

We sat under a giant plant. The leaf was in my husband’s face. It set off the meal for me a little bit. The food was delicious, came out fast, and our server was helpful. Ordered a margarita, it was a cocktail margarita and delicious, no margarita mix in sight.

Located in a charming neighborhood, Nico’s Tacos offers a cozy, vibrant atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. The lively decor and friendly vibe set the stage for what could be an excellent dining experience.
The carnitas tacos and chicken tacos were the highlight of the meal—packed full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The tacos alone are worth a return visit. The chips were perfectly crispy, but the fire corn salsa left much to be desired, lacking the punch of flavor its name promises. Additionally, the pico de gallo appeared to have been sitting for a few days, which was disappointing.
Service was slow due to the restaurant being short-staffed, which dampened the experience slightly.
The restrooms were clean but could benefit from a little TLC. A fresh coat of paint on the heater and cabinet would go a long way in elevating the space.
In summary, Nico’s Tacos has a lot going for it with its flavorful tacos and inviting atmosphere. However, attention to detail in both the food and the space could take this restaurant to the next level. If you’re in the area and not in a rush, it’s worth a visit for the tacos! Overall, I would recommend it!

Nico’s is a favorite of mine however I’m fed up with the inconsistency of the food and service. When yall are on point the food is AMAZING however when yall are off it’s bad. I order the lengua tacos often sometimes it’s seasoned great other times not at all. Recently I’ve ordered online twice. The way it’s set up is after you pick which meat you want you add other ingredients like sauce and onions or cilantro. IT NEVER SAID ALL TACOS COME WITH ONION AND CILANTRO. I clicked the buttons of the toppings I wanted. Onions wasn’t one of them because I didn’t want those. But both orders had them. So yesterday I called in and complained. The manager was rude he spent the entire phone call beating a dead horse about how all tacos come with onions and cilantro. Ok got that. But on the website it doesn’t say that and why does it prompt you to click the toppings? NOT USER FRIENDLY. So the manager just argued with me and kept going on and on about the standard taco. When I tried to give feedback on my experience there was no apology or solution. Just essentially blaming me for not knowing that all tacos come with freaking onions and cilantro! Well I didn’t ask for it!!! I clicked cilantro and picked my salsas. Overall I’m taking a break from Nico’s. I have love hate relationship with you now and I don’t know if or when I’ll be back. Let’s hope the management team sees this and strives to do a bit better. The potential is there. Need more effort. ALSO If tacos are a whopping 6$ a piece I want it to be how I want it. With the toppings that I picked. Kindness goes a long way to the manager I spoke on the phone with yesterday take some classes on how to deal with people. Don’t be a manager if your not up to the task. Do better.

I had reservations at 9:15. We were seated at 9:10. We left at about 9:30 after not being acknowledged at all and another table sat after us were having their order taken.

Our server was stuck up and rude. We had a group of 12 people and were forced out very quickly due to "restaurant policy". We were told we had to close our our bill before everyone finished eating. Another large group sitting next to us had people arriving over an hour period and were not on the same timeline we were held to. Our group all arrived at the same time and we also ordered and ate at a normal pace, and spent plenty of money on drinks and food ($40-50/person).
Food was all great, but the server's attitude and demeanour really ruined the night for our group.

Were understaffed & staff was overwhelmed, took 30 minutes to get one drink and a flight of tequila. With one customer ahead of us, but overall great a lovely place to go for the holidays!

The tacos were excellent and the drinks were decent. The service was also great! Prices were a bit high for an upscale taco joint, the "wellness" charge seemed a bit much.

Delicious food, but the pricing is high and even worse, the portion sizes are absolutely minuscule.
