Plums is like that one friend who's always a little too loud but somehow always makes your night better. The drinks are strong, the vibes are unfiltered, and the bartender definitely has a PhD in sarcasm. 10/10 would argue over jukebox picks here again. Once you hit 25 your basically banned from showing up at this place.
We had drinks; friendly staff and good service
This place is in a convenient spot. Every time I am picking up a prescription, I go in. Sometimes I look very masculine, sometimes I look very feminine. (Photos for reference.) Sometimes I have a lot of bags with me because I have been on the bus and going to work, or home with groceries. When I go in looking more naturally. (Black, Arab and AMAB) I get stared at by the white men who are regularly sitting at the same spot at the bar. I get treated as if I’m a bum seeking somewhere to hang out. Like I have to prove that I belong there. Which is weird because I’m an extremely independent, and wealthy individual. (It’s not weird. I know people are bigots) Anyway, this happens every time I go in. They give half service, and act like they’ve never seen me before, or I’m dangerous. Granted I do not go on the college nights, or with a group of friends, so I can’t speak to that experience. I haven’t felt comfortable enough to get food yet. Unfortunate because it seems like a classic spot. I probably will not be going back! I wish I could be treated equally, but this is Trumps America!!
Update: I ended up going back in to give it another chance. Upon walking in, I was looked at crazy again, and asked “can I help you with something?” By someone I have had serve me multiple times here. I order a burger and water. I’m excited because I know the food here is probably amazing. the bartender proceeded to slam my water down. I’m sure everyone has their motives for the way they behave, but I don’t understand why it’s okay for it to happen to me specifically. Maybe I shouldn’t have any standards for service anymore lol. Maybe everyone is being treated this way! I don’t know but I pray things get better and I will probably come back again because it’s a hometown classic.

Old fashion was good. Very diverse crowd l, which I like a lot.
HH wings and drinks rock
Had not been here for about 25+ years. It still looks the same. Great food though and very friendly service. Updates are needed throughout though. I would still go back for the food though.
Great experience for a first time visit.

Bartender (Friday Night) smelled like cheese and was super creepy especially towards the ladies. Food was burnt and soggy at the same time. Tap beer wasn't that cold. Gross and never again going to this puke establishment.

This is a gem. Sunday nights it is home to one of the best songwriter showcase shows in the state of Minnesota.
