The patio is incredible, and the food and beverages are great.
Ordered the cheese bread and it was a cheese pizza with a side of marinara sauce. Cheese pizza is 12$ cheese bread is 16$. Picture looked like bread not pizza to me. Other than that the beer was good and the patio was cool and eclectic.
Visiting from out of state. This place was great. The outdoor seating area had such a cool vibe and atmosphere. The cuban and pizza were tasty. I can't eat dairy and I didn't realize the Cuban came with cheese but when I asked them to remake it without cheese, they were really nice and prioritized it and brought me a fresh sandwich with no cheese within a few minutes and didnt charge me. The beer was delicious. I'll certainly be back if I visit MN again.
One of my go-to spots in Saint Paul! Great beer, solid food, and the vibes are always on point. The patio is open when the weather is good and it is so cute! I love the tab system - so no need to chase down servers to order. It’s just an easy, fun place to hang with friends. I highly recommend it!
What a cool spot! In the old Hamms brewery with awesome renovations while keeping the historic charm. This is definitely a must see when visiting. A variety of beers that did not disappoint. Plenty of space indoor and outside. Dog friendly!
The service was terrible. I think I saw the wait staff twice. The food was luke warm. The server never came around to answer questions about the drinks or menu. All the ordering was done online. I usually have a water for health reasons when I have a drink, and there was no staff to ask. The veggie chicken appetizers I had were lukewarm at best, and tasted worse than frozen chicken nuggets. I was charged a tip of over 20 percent when I had not even added it. I called the day after for a refund, and a day after that I emailed with no reply. The atmosphere of the place is lovely! The food and service do not match sadly.
Fantastic atmosphere on the patio, dining room looks great as well. We had pizza and it was excellent, it and drinks were brought out really quick on a Sunday. Burgers and salad at table next to us also looks great. Definitely worth checking out, not sure there is anything else like it in the cities.
This the second time I ordered the chicken tenders and with the same result. Chicken tough and chewy not worth it!
The ambiance is truly amazing, both indoors and outdoors, creating a delightful experience no matter where you choose to sit. The outdoor seating, in particular, offers a unique charm, with the natural feel of ruins adding a fascinating and atmospheric touch to the surroundings. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the environment.
The outdoor area also offers food service, allowing guests to enjoy a delicious meal while fully immersed in the ambiance. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and efficient, contributing to an overall enjoyable visit.
However, it’s important to note that the place can become quite crowded, especially on weekends. If you plan to visit during peak times, it's a good idea to plan ahead or make a reservation to ensure you get the best experience without long waits.

I used to love this place. The staff are incredible but upper management doesn't care about anyone but themselves and have no respect for the people who are actually putting in the day-to-day work of making this place function. I'm deeply disappointed in the direction SPB has gone and the way that owner Rob Clapp has chosen to treat the employees - he and the rest of upper management only care about profits for themselves and have sacrificed the wellbeing of the staff in order to look out for their own interests. Many of my friends have been compelled to leave due to the toxic work environment and upper management's disregard for employee concerns. More than 20 hard-working, dedicated staff members have left since the beginning of September, and the majority of those departures were a direct result of upper management's actions, decision-making, and treatment of their employees. I wholeheartedly agree and understand that the atmosphere of the brewery is hard to beat, but I strongly urge you to look elsewhere for a night out if you value the wellbeing of their employees over the success of corrupt business practices.

Solid beers and very cool seating areas. The patio is worth visiting.
Echoing what others have said, as a former server I think it is absolutely WILD to add 18% to the bill when you 1. Are not greeted, seat yourself, and order your food at the table through a QR code 2. Wait in a long line at the bar to order a drink 3. Get your own glass and water from a station with napkins and silverware already at the table.
There are no servers. There are food runners. If I did have a question about the menu or issue with my food I don’t even know who I would ask. I understand being efficient, but at what cost? This an unfortunate post-covid dining experience that is impersonal as can be and overly expensive. Cut costs somewhere else, don’t pass them on to your patrons.

Amazing selection, knowledgeable staff. Max helped me select based off of my preferences, and was an amazing host as well as a great conversationalist. Thank you for a great experience!
