Delicious food
This is the loveliest Ethiopian restaurant ever! I've been to every single one I can in town and this one is by FAR my favorite! I always get their special Kitfo and it is perfect and so, so filling. The workers are always, always extremely friendly and some of the sweetest people I've ever met. This is certainly one of my favorite places in the entirety of the Twin Cities and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone who is curious about trying Ethiopian food!

To be fair, the food was good, but the customer service was very disappointing. Be prepared to wait a long time. We waited about 45 minutes just for our soup, while other customers who appeared to be from the same background as the staff were served much faster.
After waiting for a while, we had to ask two different servers multiple times about our order. The service felt unorganized and unfair. I also recommend checking your receipt carefully because we were charged extra for several items.
We also ordered takeout, paid for it, and after waiting a long time, the female cashier started denying that we had even placed a takeout order. Finally, when we received our order and went home, we found out that the order was wrong. We paid for goat meat, but they gave us vegetarian injera instead.
Overall, the food itself was good, but the staff did not seem to know how to properly serve customers. The owners need to step up and save their restaurant, because I believe they would not agree with this poor level of service.

The food was good but the service was horrible, waited more than 45 minutes for the order, had to get up 3 times to remind them, they charge for drinks that should come with the meals, 36 dollar meal is crazy expensive and should come with a drink not charge us separately. They also charge for rice, a very small portion late was 5 dollars. Overall the place was as hectic and chaotic and takes a lot of your time and money. Hopefully they work on these things and improve their service.

This was honestly one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
We walked in excited to try this place and were seated, expecting normal service like any other restaurant. Instead, we were completely ignored. No greeting, no menu, no acknowledgment at all. We sat there for over 45 minutes waiting for someone—anyone—to come take our order. Nothing.
What made it worse is that during that time, we clearly saw people who came after us get seated and served almost immediately. The only difference? They were Ethiopian and seemed to be “one of them.” That’s when it became impossible to ignore what was happening.
After waiting nearly an hour, we finally had to walk up to the front desk ourselves and ask someone to come serve us. That alone is unacceptable—customers should not have to beg for basic service. The entire experience made it feel like if you’re not Ethiopian or not personally known by the staff, you simply don’t matter.
amazing food, and very nice costumer service would recommend for everyone

I was at a doctor’s appointment in the area and after being cold and hungry I stopped in here for an early dinner.
The server was very kind and helped me pick out the goat awaze tibs. While I waited I was brought a delightful veggie soup with a side of spicy sauce to put in it.
The tibs were super tasty and I had plenty of leftovers for later!! I also had a cup of tea which had a great flavor
Overall a superb experience and it warmed me right up on a cold winter day. Can’t wait to bring my partner here and try some other dishes!!

They hide open time.
I go. For breakfast no one isn’t there until 2pm.
I’ve never had milk coffee that tasted that good. Ambient music is so much nicer than what often plays at your average joint.
