What a cozy, cute place! It is cheery and full of sunlight.

I have never had a souffle pancake, but the texture is really nice! Sort of fluffy/chewy at the same time. The blueberries and lemon were a delicious combination.

What really stood out was the very kind staff. They waved goodbye when I left and were so wonderful and welcoming.

Definitely think about calling ahead to see if you can order ahead to go or to check how long the wait is for seating. I have never had their food but their drinks are amazing and aesthetics are đŸŒžâœšïž

Cute cafe!! Amazing matcha!! The soufflé pancakes are good too! The wait is a little long so be sure to get here early.

Little bit of a wait if you want to sit down. Menu rotates occasionally. I enjoyed my strawberry pancakes & tiramisu latte.

This used to be my go-to spot for matcha, but lately the service has been slipping. The hours on the map say they close at 4 on Saturdays, but they decided to close early today (8/23/25) without any heads-up. First we were told they were closing early unexpectedly, then it changed to “we ran out of ingredients.” But then they ended up making the drinks anyway
so clearly they still had stuff? It’s just frustrating—especially when you go out of your way to support a small business and get hit with that.

Staff were so sweet!! I only got drinks as they were sold out of food but I’ll definitely be coming back to try it someday. The strawberry matcha was amazing and not too sweet and the staff were really helpful as it was my first time visiting the store!

The café is really cute with a nice aesthetic. The workers were kind. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed by the soufflé pancake we ordered. We were expecting a hot and fresh pancake but it was cold and seemed like it had been premade.
It also had an eggy taste, which the pancake is made from eggs, but the eggy-ness was more than what we expected. The whipped cream on top was over whipped and because of that, tasted greasy. The blueberries were small and shriveled and seemed as though they had been previously frozen. The lemon curd was nice but that was the only nice part of the blueberry lemon soufflĂ© pancake. I also got a chai latte which was nice but somewhat heavy and very sweet. My sister got the tiramisu latte which was nice to start but then she couldn’t finish it because it was so sweet.

We got there and was put on a waiting list, waiter took down our name and number. We walked the area until we were called got back to the cafe and was seated right away. Friendly staff even when they were busy. We ordered the Souffle benedict and the Classic tiramisu along with a tiramisu latte.

a really delightful spot to visit on grand ave for a sweet treat! we arrived at a very busy time and waited maybe 20-30 minutes for a table (which wasn’t really a big deal because they have a waiting area or will text you if you choose to wander around grand ave). the staff are incredibly kind and efficient with their service and the matcha is wonderful (albeit a bit on the sweeter side). their signature soufflĂ© pancakes are to die for and the attention to detail thirty six cafe puts with every order (ie the heart strawberries) makes the food both visually appealing and tasty.

If aesthetic restaurants and foods are your thing this is the place for you. Although it takes a long while to get seated. Personally, I heard all about this restaurant from friends and social media. The owners are very nice and the place is very cute, but I wasn't that impressed with the food. It may be because the hour long wait, but I didn't feel like it was worth the hype.

I was super excited to go here because I love matcha. I got the cold whisked match which comes with honey in it. I originally wasn’t gonna go with honey, but the only other option for sweetener was another pumped ad in. I figured the honey would be good but it was gross (seems like it was artificial) and left a horrible after taste and ruined the whole drink so I didn’t even get to finish it. Not to mention the matcha is pre-made and poured out of a milk jug
.. Definitely not worth $10!!
Besides the matcha, the place was super cute inside and the pancakes looked amazing.

The food here is absolutely divine and quite often worth the wait! (But there is almost ALWAYS a long wait) it gets super busy here and I wish they had a better way to separate dine-in vs take-out orders but there is truly nothing to complain about food quality wise, always delicious.

Thirty-Six CafĂ© is such a cozy, photogenic spot—no wonder it stays packed! I stopped in and despite the crowd, the service was smooth and the vibe was relaxed. The food was fresh and flavorful (those soufflĂ© pancakes definitely live up to the hype), and the atmosphere had the perfect mix of trendy and welcoming.

It’s a small space, so be prepared for a wait during peak times—but it’s 100% worth it. Great food, great energy, and a place I’d absolutely visit again.

Really cute little spot. The employees were super nice and really helpful. I got the tiramisu soufflĂ© and a strawberry matcha. Both very good! The tiramisu does get quite sweet as you eat it but that’s to be expected for a tiramisu. I’m glad I don’t live close by cause i would be a frequent customer.

This place has yummy drinks but there are quite a few improvements to be made.

The last few times I’ve come here, they run out of things. For example, they ran out of all food today with over an hour left until close. It’s a restaurant so there is an expectation to have food and drinks until close and it’s not fair to the people who look forward to coming and supporting the restaurant.

There is also lots of wear and tear on the furniture. I know they have been open for some time now but takes away from the experience.

I’m hoping things improve for them. They’re popular for good reason but they need to tighten up.
