No one was working at the shop a little before 9 this morning. I went in before work and waited almost 10 minutes before leaving with no service.Very disappointing, the coffee is normally good but expensive. You'd think at least one person would be working, or at least have an on break sign.

We ordered breakfast and coffee at the counter. The server brought glasses of water and plates of food to the table next to us, but never brought us water or our food. Finally we went back up to the counter and asked about our food. The server said “we called that out a long time ago. It’s cold now.” I am not sure why they expected us to go back to the counter to pick up our food when they were serving other tables around us. It was not a to go order. They remade the food, but the service was definitely less than desirable. There were also stacks of dishes on several tables. Apparently they expected people to bus their own dishes, but that expectation was also not made clear. It’s too bad the service was so poor because we really liked the coffee shop that used to be in this space.Parking: There is no parking.

Coffee shop appears to be closed. Went to google location and just saw an empty store front. The sign for the shop is still on the front door.

The Atmosphere and Service were great, the food is the best part you get a Vanilla latte light ice and a extra warmed up almonds croissant is to die for, without a doubt greatest almond croissant I’ve ever had by far.

NEW OWNERSHIP- STILL GREAT COFFEE!My hubby and I found this place when it was still The Salty Tart, which was taken over by Truestone Coffee Roasters, which has now been bought by the people who own Bullvino’s next door (yummy place btw). I gatta say that I have been a patron through many ups and downs of this space. I can tell you that I am ECSTATIC they will continue to serve Truestone Coffee because out of the entire Twin Cities, Truestone beans are my favorite! I find them roasted beautifully every time with no burnt taste that signifies over roasting and contributed to a higher acid content acting up my reflux. I also find the quality of the drinks made here superior to other specialty coffee shops in the Metro area. Their seasonal drinks are made very flavorful without extra added chemicals (at least in my experience). Their seasonal pumpkin was awesome but my favorite drink is the caramel latte. So good! They do now have an extensive breakfast menu that includes lots of egg options (eggdonuts, omelets, Benedict’s, pancakes, extras) as well as lunch options with sandwiches, burgers, specialties, AND an impressive dessert menu :)In the past I would have a pastry from the case, made from Patisserie 46, which were yummy but I am looking forward to trying out their new breakfast. They are working out some glitches so patience will be greatly appreciated. I know they are hoping to make this place a welcoming and delicious spot for everyone who visits.Heads up, parking is free in the street a couple of blocks up and paid parking is free on the street on Sunday’s. Otherwise expect to pay a couple of dollars for an hour visit. For me, knowing that I will receive an amazing cup of coffee, it has been worth it. Plus, I often go with a friend and we split the cost so I find a dollar for parking not so bad!

We discovered this coffee shop after a chilly morning exploring the St. Paul farmers market. While the drinks were quite tasty (earning the overall rating an extra star), the kindest thing I could say about the workers is that they could all have used a couple extra shots of espresso. The girl at check out and my barista, both of them I politely interacted with, could not have seemed less interested. The atmosphere is stuck in between trying to be both upscale and cozy, and doesn’t really accomplish either. Thank goodness their drinks are good (at least they have a good foundation to build on) but there are other, better coffee shops in St. Paul.

GREAT coffee and pastries. However, several times we've driven out of our way to go to True Stone & they've been closed with no notice or lights have been on and doors have been locked. I understand that staffing can be an issue, but update temporary hours on google maps and post a notice on Instagram or Facebook.

Friendly baristas, nice place to study and relax. Great third space! Music is a reasonable volume. They have daily specials where you can get free coffee add on each day of the week.

Nice specialty coffee but the smell in the place is very unpleasant, not sure what it is but I experienced it also a year before when I was there. Smells like a leaky sewage.

After visiting the Farmer's Market I missed Breakfast at the hotel. I'm thinking we can grab something to eat. But I kept seeing people walk down these steps, it looks open. We go inside and there is another coffee bar & cafe. Yay, I bought their Cinnamon Pecan Pull apart muffin. That is all I want. I had a cup of Earl Grey which I sipped on throughout the farmer's market. And I'm still hungry. And I didn't take a photo of it. But it was sweet, sticky, crunchy pecans on the top. It was $6.00. And as I walked around taking pictures l didn't want to disturb the customers. But we noticed that had these wooden boxes that held these small glasses ? like beer samplers but we think they were coffee samplers we saw a row of 3 or 4 so unique. The smells were free but I did not need another coffee or got tea. I loved that pull apart.I also thought it was another restaurant behind those doors I think it's part of the coffee shop. But if we are passing through we will stop in.

Not impressed. I didn’t like the cold brew - very little taste. Overpriced, especially for how small of a cup you get and didn’t even get a lid. I love supporting local when I can, but this was poor quality all around.

I met some friends here for a team meeting. It's a great space, well-lit and comfortable. I enjoyed the coffee and the pain au chocolat.
