The Riverside Inn, located off Route 5, is a restaurant and bar with a spacious parking lot and outdoor area for events. The interior features a mix of tall and short tables, a bar with approximately 15 seats, a pool table, and a jukebox. The menu offers a variety of dishes, with the fish fry, shrimp basket, burgers, onion rings, and sweet potato fries being particularly delicious and fresh.
On a Friday night, a party of eight enjoyed the fish fry and shrimp with fries, which were satisfactory overall, although the fries had a strong taste of oil from the fish fryer. The waitress was kept busy but managed to attend to the party's needs. However, the cleanliness of the dining area could use improvement, as there were dirty floors, cobwebs in the corners and along the windows, which detracted from the overall experience.
The service at the bar has been inconsistent, with female staff providing excellent service, while a younger male bartender has been less welcoming and friendly, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite this, the food and the lively atmosphere of the locals make Riverside Inn a worthwhile dining destination.
