“I've been coming to Beaver Island brewing for years now ever since college. It holds a special place in my heart. I've been to a lot of small breweries and this place still ranks up in my top 3 with Lupulin and Drekker. Their beer is unique and has a certain flavor profile I haven't found at other places. Union Suit was the very first craft beer I had in my entire life and was life changing.I'm now an avid homebrewer and find a lot of my beer is inspired by Beaver Island. My favorite beer there was Tip Up, so you can imagine my sadness when I saw it was retired. If the brewers could share a 5-gallon version of their recipe so I can brew it at home and keep the memory alive, that would make me so happy (probably not going to happen, but a man can hope). Tip up walked a fine line between smoke, spruce, hops, and malt. It was almost too much of each ingredient, but never went over the edge which made it so good.“
“Ya know the spot Brooks n Dunn talk about in Boot Scootin Boogie? The honky tonk near the county line?? This could be the place! Fun and interesting decor on every surface, a FULL dance floor in front of a stage with a rockin country band, plenty of bar seating, booths, and tables. I didn't eat, but saw several trays of delicious smelling fries going out. I'd go back to try the BBQ, the plentiful rolls of paper towels and napkins indicate a hands-on experience!! Great times!“
“Fresh Thyme is a great store. Cross between Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. There prices on chicken are better than most. The produce is better than most. But don't go later in the evening for produce as they don't stock until later at night. They don not have some of the Brand name things, but their brand is just as good. It is my GO TO store. Love Fresh Thyme.“
“One of the few ‘excellent’ restaurants in St. Cloud! I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars! The food is amazing and the place has a very relaxed vibe. I tried the breakfast biscuits and gravy and I cannot wait to come back sometime and try their dinner menu. Yum!“
