“Had a client lunch here and enjoyed the place very much Menu had good options I had the squash salad and added salmon for the protein A bit expensive as I think the meal was $ 20 but didn't seem outrageous Staff was pleasant and attentive The outdoor space looked nice with little lights which I always enjoy Tucked into a strip mall and right off the highway so easy spot to get to stop in if you are in the area!“
“A small unassuming shop, but the food knocked our socks off! We loved the flavors of the Montego Bay bowl and my wife did a build-your-own bowl which was also fantastic. Fresh mango and veggies on the side were delicious - but the Calypso egg rolls were just amazing. They have a bold crunch and a delicious sauce that I just can't get over. I'm still thinking of them!“
“An interesting selection of beers and a (blue raspberry) hard seltzer! Friends told us the flavors rotate regularly so you can try many different types of beers on repeat visits. Our group tried:Apple pie sourVacationer wheat (pineapple, mango, coconut)Hazy IPARice lagerWould have loved a cider option.“
“This place is a culinary gem from Chef Ann Kim, who brings her innovative touch to the world of pizza with this charming neighborhood spot. Known for its wood-fired pizzas, the space itself is bright and lively, adorned with a photo booth and a distinctive copper pizza oven named Lola, which adds to the restaurant's quirky and inviting ambiance. The menu at Pizzeria Lola offers a creative spin on traditional pizza, featuring a variety of unique toppings that cater to all tastes. From the classic Margherita to more inventive options like the Korean BBQ pizza, which includes mozzarella, scallions, arugula, sesame, and soy-chili vinaigrette, every pizza promises a delicious and memorable experience. The crust is expertly crafted—airy, slightly charred, and perfectly chewy, thanks to the high heat of the wood-fired oven.Beyond pizza, Pizzeria Lola also serves a selection of appetizers, salads, and desserts, all of which maintain high standards of quality and creativity. The soft serve ice cream, particularly the vanilla with olive oil and sea salt, is a must-try.Pizzeria Lola is not just about great pizza; it’s about a fun, engaging dining experience. The staff is friendly and passionate about their offerings, enhancing the warm atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Minneapolis, Pizzeria Lola is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to enjoy some of the best pizzas the city has to offer.“
“I'm gonna go ahead and add to these 5* reviews because they deserve them! We ordered at least 3 times back to back. The owner recognized me on the 2nd visit, which I appreciated. The pizza is always fresh, looks AMAZING, tastes GREAT, AND THE OWNER HANDS YOU YOUR FOOD WITH PRIDE! Oh! Yes, vegan sausage (soy) and vegan cheese (non soy ? ) available. One of my visits, there was a young man doing homework and eating pizza. It was a picturesque moment of a student after school hanging at the pizza spot. The prices are decent, too. Even though I do carry out, I made sure to tip because of the quality service and food. The photos are the first visit. Each visit after has been just as beautiful and tasty. I ordered without cheese, just to see how flavorful the sauce was. The sauce was SO flavorful, I did not miss cheese. Mind = BLOWN. The owner put me on to "fried peppers." When I tell you they add heat?!? So delicious! They are the peppers on the non-cheese pizza in the photos. Fresh veggies. Fresh basil! We love the crust. Crispy, chewy, and yummy! This place is worth it. Awesome location, tables and chairs to eat in, cute window seating, and super cool vibe. Seriously, give them some of your time and money.3.2.24 UPDATE: Back again... THEY DO NOT MISS! This is what you call CONSISTENCY! Today was a cheese pizza with Italian seasonings and light white onion on half. They NAILED it! No need to request extra cheese or well done. This is real pizza.Vegetarian options: Vegan cheese and sausage (soy) available“
“I loved the nostalgic 50’s look and feel of Wagner’s drive in burger joint the food was cooked hot, fresh and fast it was impressive I loved the food and prices the service of my waitress was awesome she was very polite professional and friendly I would gladly recommend anyone who wants a high quality burger or other good food at low prices with impressive impeccable customer service go and try this small family friendly restaurant anytime your in the area!!!“
“Best burger I have ever had. (Coastal something burger, they said it was new). The patties and bacon were HOT flavorful, juicy and perfect. The toppings were COLD and amazing. The bun was fresh and toasted… My Burger does not “check the box”… My Burger is the BURGER TO BEAT! I’ll never visit MN without visiting My Burger.Service and cleanliness was ***** as well.Price was very reasonable. I’ve paid more for less many times!Easiest 5 starts I’ve ever given.Owners, keep up the good work. I don’t know how you do this good at scale… but please consider a franchise in UTAH!! ❤️?“
“Unfortunately couldn't capture a photo because we ate the food so fast!We ordered the gyro, waslad, and boy we could not have been happier with our meal. The spices, tenderness, and how they fried their food could not have been more perfect. Their sauces are spicy yet not overwhelming. I'm surprised I haven't heard of this place, it should be on everyone's hot list for the Twin Cities.“
“Such an amazing coffee shop! I will have to say their Coffee Flight is a bit pricier compared to other places I have had but is very delicious!! They give you an option if you would like your Coffee Flight Hot or Iced. I chose hot and they also ask what type of milk would you like in your coffee flight with the options of Oat milk, Whole milk, and skim milk, which is very nice! Lots of seating and they also have a brewery attached to the coffee shop with a lot of seating as well that you can sit at as well! The workers are very nice and polite!! Very clean coffee shop and so many cute little goodies such as candles, stickers and other Minnesota themed goods. The coffee tastes very high quality and loved each of the flavors that they offered in the coffee flight also I really love how beautifully decorated they are as well as the board that it comes with! So cute!! Will definitely come here again in the future!“
“A cosy brewery where you can sit down with your buds and enjoy every sip. They have a good variety of beers on tap and few seasonal ones as well. You can have free popcorns on the side to enjoy with your beers. They have limited seating for up to around 10 tables, so chose a not so busy time to go there and make the most of it. ?“
“By far one of my favorite breweries in the Twin Cities!! The staff is amazing. They have a great variety of food trucks. Comfortable taproom alongside a great patio (the patio gets covered with an event tent and heaters in the colder months). Great free bingo and trivia having great prizes. And of course the beer is amazing. I strongly suggest trying the Ben's Minnesota Martini olive beer.“
“I met up with some friends to do the wine and tarot card reading event for Halloween night. Tickets had to be pre-purchased. Located in a small business strip with a shared parking lot. When we got there we sat at an high table and ordered some wine glasses and snacks sold at the wine room while waiting for our readings. Wine and food was good. Overall experience was fun and I'd like to come Back and try other menu items too.“
“Food and service is phenomenal. Usually they have someplace to sit, but I recommend making reservations since sometimes they can get busy and don't have any seating available. I also like to sit in the separate dining area and the reservation guarantees I will get to sit there. The wings are some of the best I have had. Especially the Wing of the Moment. They are not afraid to bring some heat so be prepared for that! Fantastic burgers as well. They also make a great Reuben! The Becky from Philly was my favorite sandwich here - Please bring it back!!!Parking: Parking lot is right next to residential housing. Please be courteous and keep the noise down going to/from you vehicle.“
“My husband I have been coming here for a couple years now and we LOVE it. As frequent brewery visitors, out of all that we have been to around the Twin Cities WSB is by far our favorite. The hospitality and atmosphere this place brings is unmatched. (Of course, we also LOVE their beer!) We always get a friendly smile and a delicious pint. Highly highly recommend.“
“I had their food when it was catered for a work event. Absolutely phenomenal!!! I went back today to order on my own. I got the ribeye sandwich. mac n cheese and loaded chips.Sandwich -- AMAZING!!! Small, but also a decent piece of steak, so you kind of have to expect that. I'd definitely order it again!!!Loaded chips -- not so good. See pic.Mac n cheese -- just ok. I'm really, really picky about Mac n cheese. My fav is whalburgers. Most people will love this! Can't wait to go back and try other things. Have to say.. the owner is just a delightful person and the product is VERY good. Try the green goddess dressing. You won't regret it!!!“
“Had never been here before, stopped in for a burger. Ordered a Smoke Jumper Burger and was hugely impressed by how good it was. The lady working at the front desk was also very friendly and her service was perfect. Very very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and experience.“
“We’ve eaten at the Block (on the Pawtio) several times. We’ve never had poor food or service, in fact, the excellent food and service keeps us coming back for more!! We also love that our dog is welcome to join us! To the staff at The Block: Keep doing what you’re doing, because it’s fantastic!“
“Best frozen custard I've ever had! It wasn't too sweet like others I've had before. They had quite a few options, I had the hot fudge sundae with banaa and my hubs had the banana split. The workers were all teens and they were super friendly and helpful. Parking spot is small because there is a drive thru (DRIVE THRU FOR FROZEN CUSTARD!! BRILLIANT!). Line went fast though. Wish we had this in the Bay Area. Wish we had better behaved teens with strong work ethic in the Bay Area. LOL! Cause these teens who work here would be a great example. You need to definitely head over to this spot. Great service and the best FROZEN CUSTARD!“
“Casual and elbow-to-elbow seating replicates the feel of hanging out downtown or uptown, and the full-wall windows bring in excellent sunset light. The food options are excellent and the pretzel is good to split between three. A lot.of the sausage options clearly connect to my sense-memories from my experiences in Germany and taste authentic and delicious. The hometown takes on them (the Juicy Lucy Wurst is my favorite!) are also refreshing and filling.“
“I love this place, the first time a waiter asks if we have any food allergies, wow they are attentive, the food is delicious, the cocktails are exquisite and the location is very good, you can walk near a large lake, it has different places for ice cream or anything another craving.“
“We had a large group for brunch on a Sunday. Staff was accommodating of the little ones - even brought some toys over for them which was a nice surprise. Great service, great food, we’ll be back!Kid-friendliness: We had three kids under 8 in our group, very accommodating.“
“I was here for a breakfast meeting. It was excellent. I had scrambled eggs and an excellent, fresh rosted coffee. The meeting room is quiet and well equipped. In the shop you find small exhibitions of local artists that make the atmosphere cozy. You can buy artworks in the shop. The staff is very friendly and served us quickly.“
“Beer! Pizza! Brewery! Maple Grove! Can't get it any better than this. There are also wine and seltzers available.Pizza truck outside, but you can order it at the bar. The tent and backroom are available for private parties. Crowler and growlers available for sale. Thc drinks too!Parking in rear or on street.“
“Munkabeans Coffeehouse in Hopkins has a warm, fresh, homemade feel. From the blueberry muffins cooling on the counter to the local artists’ work displayed on the walls, the coffee shop has a neighborhood vibe that is very inviting. My husband ordered a Cinnabon Latte coffee and shared a sip with me. It was so good, I ordered my own. I also purchased some of the available artwork for sale. ❤️“
“Very inviting place. Nice open floor and very clean. Service is amazing and the beers they make are some of the best around. Nice snacks available as well. Always a fun experience when you go. Definitely one of the better places to go to. So much fun to be here. Even got to see some dogs joining the place. Outside seating is also fun. Looking for a nice place to meet friends at lunch it is a great choice.“
“Came in to grab a quick bite to eat and stayed longer than planned! I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good! The bartender, Michael, informed me of the special and it was so good! The food came out quick and it was during the lunch rush. Michael was an awesome bartender! I am not from the area and he made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. I will definitely be back!“
“Visited Boom Island Brewing Company and Taproom for their Lord of the Rings Night and it was an unforgettable experience! The dedication to cosplay transformed the place, making it feel as though we'd stepped right into Middle-earth. The theme-appropriate music was the cherry on top. I was there for 5 hours, and even though I missed the trivia, I had a fantastic time. It's worth noting they host trivia every Thursday at 6:30 pm, which I'll definitely not miss next time. The atmosphere was inviting, their kombucha was delicious, and the Hana Bistro food truck was top-notch. Highly recommend for an immersive themed evening!“
“Marybeth was an incredible waitress and made sure we knew everything about where the food was sourced and her recommendations. They have nothing but absolutely delicious locally-sourced food, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You can tell so much care, thought and intention goes into the food here.We were a group of 12 and we were able to sit all together for my birthday.“
“Great happy hour menu, but get there early or you're going to be waiting for a while. Well made dishes with excellent service, you can't go wrong here for a nice night out, but be prepared to open your wallet. This is a splurge unless you really stick to the happy hour menu and don't go crazy.“
“The self-pour experience went much better than I expected. I poured 10oz hazy IPAs, which was fine, because I can always pour a few more oz if I want to. A few oz of Bear'leywine.? No problem.Eclectic food choices, with many meatless choices. Pizza crust was soft, but burnt on the bottom. Servers were very helpful.“
“Excelsior Brewing is now one of the best breweries in the twin cities. I used to think their beers were just ok, but they have seriously stepped up their game in the past couple of years. The strawberry cream ale, spiced dark ale (can’t remember the exact name!) and their s’mores beer are unique and tasty. Their location in excelsior is great and their trivia night on Thursdays is super fun. Don’t always head to Minneapolis for great beer- Excelsior is where it’s at!!!!“
“Newly remodeled. Ordered the everything pizza (it was just ok), fish and chips were great, and so were the fried mushrooms. Overall, the food was good. We arrived at a peak time and got the last 2 available seats at 6 pm on a Friday (and the last parking spot in the lot). The bartender/server was very attentive and friendly. The fish and mushrooms were excellent and obviously made fresh to order. Being so busy, there was a lag or a bit of a kitchen miscommunication on food being ready, we waited 45 minutes, so a drink was given on the house - very nice. They were having a meat raffle, which was easy to participate in because the person handling it came to our table. The ceiling is high, so the acoustics made it a bit of a challenge to hear my friend talking, so we had to lean in to hear each other. I'd for sure go back because it's in such a convenient spot, and their tap beer selection was pretty good with something for everyone.“
“Been here a few times. Solid beer, lots of options, unique atmosphere. The winning point though is the owners. They're engaged, nice, and accommodating. We went in with our 2 and 4 year olds and they gave them suckers and a fun little whip cream treat!“
“Coffee prepared well, service was friendly and efficient, seating was spaced comfortablely (able to hold conversation w/o noisy distractions) left with breakfast sandwich- excellent!Overall, this is a desired stop when visiting Maple Grove!“
“This place is awesome!! The beer, the cocktails, the food, the service -- all amazing! In particular, the "Piggy Pie" is a must-get item any time I come here, it's so delicious. On my most recent visit, I got the special release barrel aged stout and wow was it incredible! The vibe is pleasant and casual, the QR codes for ordering at the tables are convenient and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend this place for pizza and drinks!“
“I was very pleased that even though our reservation was 12:30, the sound level was quite reasonable and we didn't have to raise our voices to hear each other. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and we enjoyed our sandwishes very much. I did bring a new friend who feels the same as I do, so she might become a new customer. I do enjoy Mill Valley Kitchen. It is a hike for me; I live on the Mississippi River, but worth the trip.“
“Hats off to the owner Dude who served me during this winter storm!! I called him and he said that he was closing in 10 minutes. My 5 year old niece had just woken up from being on the oxygen machine. She is in the fight with cancer, when she woke up she wanted something fresh. I explained this to the owner and he said that he will keep his doors open for me.When I arrived to the hospital, she tried it and said YUMMY. This was the first thing she has tried in 4 days.God bless you“
“The gal working the counter went above and beyond to make up for not making one of our drinks (totally not a big deal) — but seeing an act of customer service like that in 2023 feels rare so I am compelled to leave a glowing review! Go check this place out, totally worth it!“
“Happy Garden Happy 2024! I wish I could just say sorry to say this. Tje food is and was great as usual. I wish I could have started my New Year eating some really good food like yours! It isnʼt like me to say someyhing like this. I hope it didnʼt get negative, I do get her point. And no bad feelings here. I want a good fortune and Im six percent Asian anyway Im a tiger on the Chinese zodiac and I grew up near Chinatown on Cermak Ave in Chicago Illinois USA!Please know Im sorry for tjis review and Im taking it down! Continue to Shine!Vegetarian options: Rice and vegetables!Parking: Accessible!“
“Back at JJs, the neighborhood dive! We came in for an easy Friday night dinner and made it just in time for the late night happy hour. We ordered a build your own pizza and the real winner- the loaded sweet potatoes. As always, they were slammed packed but service was still attentive. Will be back! This is a great neighborhood spot and pretty decent prices“
“The food and service were good. The Atmosphere specifically the music kinda sucked... conversation while having to listen to hip-hop gangsta in the bedroom is not what a class restaurant should have on. I'm not bringing my kids there again.... private parties, play what you like. General crowd you'd be better off with some jazz, smooth or otherwise in the background.“
“Dive bar meets bowling alley with a side of decent pizza - that would be my title of we could title our reviews. Pizza was delish, good sauce and well thought out flavors. Beer was cold. Service was about as expected for a location like this which is meh, or average. Frustrating that we are in final frame of bowling, last person up and at exactly 4pm which was our end time the whole thing shut down. Understand you want to encourage churn, but that was malarkey. Otherwise it's a dive bar, and not a great one.“
“Decided to go check this place out yesterday before they closed for the season and it was a good idea the service was great really friendly and fast I really like how everyone help each other but it was really uncomfortable when the bartender started swearing when there's like a lot of kids around, it made my wife feel uncomfortable otherwise great place to enjoy some drinks, I'm totally going back next season“
“I love Mill Valley Market!! We live in Colorado but come to Minnesota several times a year to visit family (we used to live in the Twin Cities). Our children live nearby so we visit often. The food is delicious, whatever you get, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. It's a welcoming and busy environment all year round with a cozy wood stove in the entrance. Because of the Loppet center for activities ( biking and hiking in the summer and skiing and fat biking in the winter) the market is very busy but in spite of the business the service is always prompt. We always look forward to returning!!“
“It was a fun night at the Gold Nugget - lots of diners, families and folks having a great Saturday night. Nicole kept our drinks filled and updated on the status of our entrees coming out. We had a nice table next to the windows. My favorite Asada Bowl was delicious; I always think I'm going to try something else, but order it because it really is my favorite. My husband tries lots of different menu choices, and enjoys it every time. See you again soon.“
“Salmon rice bowl was a standout for our group of seven. Crispy shrimp tacos were yummy, sweet potato fries were fresh. The Loop burger with pesto was delicious. Blueberry mojito and the blueberry mule mocktail were great. The mini brownie sundae was just ok (a little dried out) but the creme brulee was a hit. Lots of items on the menu we'd like to come back for!“
“The beer can be hit or miss in my experience, for the cost especially if can be disappointing... Usually it's at least decent but have had a few beers that have made me just want a macro instead. Happy to have them here though, what a location and bike friendliness is so appreciated. Always worth supporting.“
