“Our server was very attentive and pleasant. We were there with 6 people and most of us had the Fish 'n Chips which were excellent. One person ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and was disappointed with the toughness of the chicken. Overall, a very pleasant atmosphere and dinner.“
“Obviously the general theme of Irish pubs is to be dark but it was difficult to read the menus and drink specials. I know what you're going to say... "get out your phone light old timers," but it was darker than a typical pub. The food was amazing though, and the service was good when the waitress was able to get around to us. Would definitely suggest you stop in for a bite to eat and drink before going to a show at the Uptown Theater.“
“Had a great dinner at Merlin's Rest Pub Minneapolis. I had the delicious beef and mushroom stew and the wife and son had burgers. We had a scotch egg and the very delicious brussel sprouts with bacon. Had a black velvet which is Guinness and Strongbow cider. My wife had a white Russian. We got to hear some nice bagpipes playing for us. A very warm and homey British pub. Highly recommend.“
“Great spot to grab a cold beer and some good "pub grub". Nothing fancy, just exactly what you would expect from a spot like this. My wife and I were visiting Minneapolis and this place was across the street from our hotel. We wanted a quick bite and a cold beer, and Pog Mahone's checked all the boxes. A small, but quaint bar with plenty of T.V.'s on the wall for sports viewing. Brooke was the only server/bartender working, and we joined a handful of other patrons at the bar upon arrival. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and even though she was the only server, our service was wonderful. They have a nice selection of craft beers, as well as a full bar. The place is literally in the shadow of the massive newer U.S.Bank Bank stadium where the Vikings play, and Brooke commented that this place is jumping on game days. I know from my experiences at places around Wrigley Field that these "game day" restaurants can literally survive solely off the business they do when the home team is playing, but this place was pretty busy for a random Wednesday night. On Brooke's recommendation we split the Reuben Poppers and the Belfast Wrap. The Reuben Poppers were basically like Reuben egg rolls - stuffed with corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. They were delicious. We got some thousand island dressing for dipping, and they were piping hot - right out of the fryer.... Really good. The Belfast Wrap was also really good. It was filled with tender steak, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes lettuce and a chipotle aioli.. it came with waffle fries.. again, just really good. Pog Mahone's isn't going to change your life, and there's a million places just like this in every city in the country, but they are doing it right. Good food and good service. Don't know if I'll ever be back, but if you're in town and you need a cold beer and a decent sandwich, this place will do!“
“What a great spot! We had a large group that The Local easily and graciously accommodated to celebrate a late St Patties Day, and The Local did not disappoint. Everyone was happy after a round of Irish Car Bombs and Guinness to follow. I got the Cod fish and chips, which was excellent and filling. Others got the Bangers and Mash, the burger, and some other various appetizers, all looking fantastic. Highly recommend!“
“Kieran's Irish Pub has been a Minneapolis gotta-try for thirty years! (30 years TOMORROW, to be exact.) It lives across the street from the Target Center which makes it super convenient to pop in for a pint prior to a game or after. We were headed to the B1G Women's Basketball tournament and needed food. It was a Friday during lent so of course my parents were in search of meatless options. Holy Walleye Sandwich! That thing could easily feed two. A lot of bang per buck with that menu item. The wings were huge but nothing to write home about. (I'd not order those again.) The Rueben was delish! It had the perfect amount of corned beef and sauerkraut. Absolutely no complaints here. My pint of Guinness was delightful. (There's just something so satisfying about having one in an Irish pub.) The menu wasn't huge by any means but had something for everyone-- it seemed priced pretty reasonably considering it's downtown. My kiddo is obsessed with the Titanic. He loved exploring their Titanic Lounge! (It's only available for private events but the staff let him check it out.) Captain Edward Smiths painting is behind the bar-- loved all the old timey nautical items throughout. Overall, Keiran's Irish Pub is a super cool hangout. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays but stop in for a pint!“
“Awesome atmosphere, amazing service, (tacos are to die for, as is everything I’ve had), with beautiful spaces to be one on one or in a group. Also near my favorite shops! The Local - West End checks all the boxes! Oh …and free underground parking. Boom.“
