What a disappointment. I would sooner go to Blackwood's in Two Harbors before coming back here.
Context: Mid November. This place opened at 5p, after the sun had long gone down (Otherwise the view would be fantastic).
The atmosphere in this place is a far cry from the way they speak of it on their website. The lighting was so poor. For the price of items on the menu, I would expect a much more highly refined atmosphere, and not a feeling of being in a dining hall full of shadows. We were seated by a window which would have been great if it wasn't so dark outside. There were no candles or any light on the tables, and no decorative lighting anywhere else except for a gimmicky line of flames along a far wall. I ordered far less because of the above, and we were gone within an hour. The pasta was fine, the lingonberry salad was excellent. I was put off by the fact that I could not see my food. The white antler chandeliers provided a harsh ambient lighting that while bright, cast shadows across our table, and the food was served in bowls which heightened my inability to see it. There is also no sound suppression in this place, so of it were to get busy, it would echo even more than with the 10 people that were there for our experience.

Fabian was very helpful. He asked us about food allergies right away, and the menu was designed with tree nuts allergies in mind. Fabian was also very very helpful making sure beverages were to our taste. (I am excessively picky: usually I simply give away my drinks and am happy trying them once, but he was able to get a small correction in first try. Last time I experienced that was a private event at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Tldr worth the price.)
I really liked the quiet music, it was the type of relaxing experience I want from a resort.

It was suggested to me to try the pepperoni pizza and lingonberry salad. The pizzas dough tasted like it came from the freezer. And, the salad had wilted lettuce leaves and the dressing was too sweet. For our entrees we had the ribeye and the beef short rib. The ribeye was tough and hard to eat. The short rib had a lot of fat and wasn't palatable. For dessert we had the wild blueberry bread pudding which was amazing! The salted caramel cheesecake was not as good but it was better than the rest of our meal. The service and the atmosphere were great and unfortunately the food did not match that.

I do not recommend. We ordered the tortilla soup which was cold and the flavor was not good. We shared this with our server who responded by letting us know he would talk with his supervisor. He returned and shared that she spoke with his supervisor, but we still needed to pay for the soup. I asked to speak with the supervisor who promptly appeared at your table saying, “The soup was hot I took it from the fire and delivered it to your table.” I responded by sharing that the soup was not good and I would not like to pay for it. He begrudgingly removed it from our bill.
Great atmosphere, not great food and really poor service.

Food was just ok, but place and restaurant is nice. Food is overpriced for quality/quantity in my opinion. Space is lovely though

This restaurant was absolutely beautiful, had a stunning view of the lake and the service was top notch. Unfortunately the food was just so bland and boring. The fruit was also no where near ripe. The experience was great just really let down by the meal.

For starters the lingonberry goat cheese salad was fabulous. The other meals served looked great as well. Rated a 3 because of the pizza. The sauce was overly sweet and the crust was bland flour flavored. It was served with the cheese burned overdone and the crust on the edge was as hard as a lake superior rock, the crumb was very dense with almost no pockets of air that you would expect. Other than the fresh basil it had a overall poor taste profile definately not a neopolatin pizza. The pizza is not worth the price here. No complaints on any of the other food served. The seasonal drinks were great and the dining experience was so pleasant looking over the lake. Server was busy but managed to keep tabs on drinks and orders just fine.

My wife and I had an excellent meal and were seated right by the windows overlooking the lake. Our sever, Fabian, was great and timely. The scallops were some of the best I've ever had, the salad with lingonberry dressing and tons of fresh fruit was great, the cocktails were very good, and the lamb chop dish was solid. Overall a great meal and experience.

We come here every time we go to the north shore! Even if we don’t stay at the hotel. We love the new menu and upscale space, it faces the lake, it’s so beautiful! The food is also great, the scallops and the prime rib are excellent, definitely a more upscale menu but still not crazy expensive. We also came here for a pasta class, the chefs were so fun, we learned a lot and had an amazing time! 🫶🏼

We found VUE NORTH restaurant while visiting Two Harbors town in Minnesota. The restaurant is located in the Superior Shores Resort on the second floor, non resort guests are welcome. Beautiful lodge style building and restaurant. The menu offerings are upscale American cuisine, also found vegan options. We enjoyed a great tasting dinner served by a friendly staff. Entrees are $24 - $55.

We’ve been here a few times since it was reimagined as View North. Very nice place, great service, very nice menu with something for everyone! Adding a bar will be a welcomed addition, so hoping to see that soon! Gorgeous views of the lake.

OK…What do you do when your 10 year old Grandson wants to try Lamb?
Vue has lamb so we went for it. Our server Zoie was amazing easily navigating our tables demands.
She recommended a cheeseburger as a back up. Great idea.
My Grandson loved the $55 lamb. I tried it too. Cooked perfectly. Brought the cheeseburger home.
I had the Short Ribs and my wife the Walleye both were excellent.
Service was perfect for our table.
Ambience is very pretty and great views of Lake Superior.
Menu was a bit safe and that’s cool if the execution is spot on!!
