Wow. I visited this restaurant in September, 2023. The food, atmosphere, and service were highly enjoyable. Chips and salsa arrived immediately. I ordered the 4 enchiladas dish. The plate arrived fast. The food was hot. It looked great. And tasted better. The price was reasonable, and I considered what I received as a terrific value. The throne for the best restaurant in town has been empty for a while now since Pizza Ranch’s quality has gone down while corporate scales their business. El Mariachi has picked up that crown to take its place as King of Wadena restaurants. The food is excellent, beer deals are insane, and the staff deserves an award for dealing with all the discrimination they receive from customers while still serving up the best Mexican cuisine in the area.

I had their Asada style Tacos Mexicanos and they were delicious. I asked for guacamole to be added and it was real guacamole. Some restaurants serve a guacamole type substance but these people didn't. They had a tasty salsa verde to go on top. We will be going back again.Parking: You can park up close for easy access.
