“SCOOPS is a quaint family run coffee and ice cream shop. I was sent on a coffee run near where my daughter's wedding venue was held. The shop owner filled me in on a bit of welcomed information. ? I explained to him that some of the wedding party were staying in hotels in Rochester, Minnesota. He shared with me that there are some cabin rentals (longer stay options) available on a lake nearby. I took a brochure and shared it with the rest of the wedding party. I hope it drums up some business for that location too! ?”

“This place is a little gem. Just tucked away a little outside of town. Beers are decent, overall vibe is solid. They work with a pizza place that delivers pizza to the brewery which is an added bonus. This place is worth checking out and appears to be pretty popular with locals.”

“We made the trip from Austin, MN to Janesville specifically to visit The Purple Goose Smokehouse & Saloon! As our luck goes, we arrived right as breakfast was ending BUT the new owners were extremely friendly & let us order breakfast anyway!! The food alone was worth the trip! We ordered the ham & cheese omelet, french toast platter, pancake platter, and kids fries. Everything was delicious, and the waitress was excellent. Our first trip there, but it definitely won't be the last. Can't wait to return! Shelly & Doug are going to do just fine running this place ? Kid-friendliness: Our kids loved it! “We enjoy to go out. Yesterday we came to this delicious place which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a lovely experience there with first-rate cooking and an efficient crew and a professional chief cook. We put this place in our list and we shall surely go again soon. We warmly recommend.”

“We visited on a Monday at noon. There was plenty of space and we were seated and served quickly. The coffee was way better than most cafes, but I had to ask for non-flavored creamers and, by the time I got some, my cup of coffee was cold. My group of 3 ordered a big salad, a breakfast combo, and I ordered a BLT. My BLT was really disappointing. The bacon was extra crispy as requested, which was great, but the tomato was hard and white and dry. It tasted so bad, I had to take it off the sandwich. Anyone who knows anything about BLTs would know not to use a tomato like that. The tomato is kind of important. I thought I was getting fries with my BLT, but they were small potatoes that were pretty soggy. Luckily, my wife ordered something called blueberry bread, which came with frosting and was to-die-for-delicious so I ate that. The rest of the food we ordered was very good and I will give this place another chance :)Parking: There were plenty of spaces available.”

“Great experience at Tucker’s tonight! I believe our waitress was Kaitlyn (didn’t catch her name but that’s what the ticket said.) She was so sweet! Very patient with our kids- interacting with them all, and understanding of our 11 month old’s mess under his feet! She was the only one serving 6ish tables and the bar and she did great! The food was good but Will definitely be back for the service!”

“Didn't eat but had adult beverages...cold and refreshing! Our Bartendress, Katie, was amazing She was so great at remembering everyone drinks during the rounds bought. I got to watch a cribbage game challenge, listen to an amazing assortment of music from the jukebox and visit with friends and family. There's an outdoor patio for smokers and a big plus women's bathroom was clean! Beautiful ceilings great atmosphere . Only improvement would be to turn on the AC it was so hot inside!Fun time! Worth the stop if you are visiting, driving through or just going home! ?”

“I was there recently with a friend, yes they were busy, had a wedding rehearsal dinner. That's ok, we both understood and gave us more time to visit. I have never had bad food here, I have never had rude waiters, sometimes we all need a little more patience. I hate when people put bad reviews. We all have bad nights, busy nights. If food isn't done right send it back to hsve ot fixed but no need to get upset and rude. Life is too short. Great place to eat.”
