“This is a great place to lower your expectations. All the local bumps hang out here. Live music on the worlds smallest platform. Alcohol at club prices. Everyone showers on Thursday in this town, so saturday gets a little ripe. See you there!“
“The Thirsty Beaver’s just a great spot! Such a fun atmosphere and always good drink read for ya. The cheese bread is real tasty too! Seems like there’s always something going on, so if you’re passing through Elysian, make sure to stop in you’ll be glad ya did!“
“We stayed as part of a group for a big birthday over two nights and at first glance I was pleased with the room. As they state in their website, there are a lot of stairs, so be warned. The room was large and had a double bed and a single bed with the bonus of a bathroom with a bath. However, the double bed was actually two zipped together, which I don’t have a problem with.. but the two beds had mattresses which were of different height, different softness snd must have been as old as the hotel. My partner lay on one side and practically disappeared into the mattress while the other remained high but sloped downwards! Not great. I slept in the single bed the whole stay. The furniture was old fashioned and you couldn’t sit at the mirror in the wardrobe or see yourself in it if you stood up! The tea and coffee were provided on a shelf which was a about five foot high. Not the safest way to make hot drinks. Shower was adequate. Our room was above the porch and bar snd very noisy right up to five am when people were ringing the night bell to get in or others were leaving. The bar and restaurant were great! Great staff. Excellent breakfast and a beautiful room to dine in. The hotel is beautiful to look at with loads of character but the room we had didn’t live up to it. Others in our party had better rooms it seems so I can’t speak for all but the overall impression is that a lot of money needs spending to bring the rooms up to date and make them worthy of this fantastic building. Just as an aside I asked the hotel to get some balloons and wine for the birthday boy’s room and they sorted this out for me and threw in a complimentary dessert as well and he was pleased about this as it was a nice touch. I paid for this at check in. After I returned home I got a message telling me I had an outstanding balance and could I call to rectify it. When I called I was told the outstanding amount was for the extras that were already paid for at check in!! Just make sure you keep your receipts. I only mention this as another review also said they had been charged for extras twice. Overall a great building, great staff but lousy beds!“

“First things first , this establishment is as phenomenal as it gets .
Today I was working in Morristown, me and my father stoped in during lunch and wow was I amazed .
Such amazing hospitality, friendly neighborly caring , staff and employees .
Out of this world food , the menu is so absolutely breathtakingly phenomenal.
From the fresh soups cooked daily , to the mouthwatering burgers , amazing sandwiches, and from the beginning to end of the menu , absolute greatness.
The cooks in the back that are actually chefs . To the absolutely amazing bartenders working bar side Hats off From sheriffbrauer personally!!
Locally sourced beef , chicken , pork , local produce .
Amazing bar selection , drafts on tap , Pepsi products, 2,500 different phenomenal bar mugs , all numbered in selection . Such an amazing bloody marry bar . With so many options.
Fantastic music , and local people gathering in the community, such an amazing Saturday experience
I had the pleasure of sitting and talking briefly with the owner , what a phenomenal man , everyone in the establishment is as amazing as the next , out door patio seating

“I discovered this little gem on a motorcycle trip a few years ago. I try to get back as often as possible. This Place has some of the highest quality of American Food anywhere in the area. I have tried close to half the menu, it is always above and beyond. Side salads at this restaurant rival whole meals in most places. Prices are incredible. Its super clean and the staff are fantastic. Best little place in the whole area.“
“Didn't eat but had adult beverages...cold and refreshing! Our Bartendress, Katie, was amazing She was so great at remembering everyone drinks during the rounds bought. I got to watch a cribbage game challenge, listen to an amazing assortment of music from the jukebox and visit with friends and family. There's an outdoor patio for smokers and a big plus women's bathroom was clean! Beautiful ceilings great atmosphere . Only improvement would be to turn on the AC it was so hot inside!Fun time! Worth the stop if you are visiting, driving through or just going home! ?“
