Mixed reviews on the friendliness however with as good as my sandwich and potatoes were it was 100% worth it and I’ll be back when I visit that city again. Small space, cozy coffee/diner vibes.

Hidden gem! Perfect breakfast and lunch menu, amazing food and comfortable space. Every time the food hits the spot, I think it’s cooked by the owner who is a friendly, and funny guy. Great place to bring the family for a meal or stop in for some bakery treats on a bike ride.

I see the appeal for some people but truly it's just okay. The space is extremely tiny, maybe ten tables? They have a couple of chairs near the door for waiting. I waited about 20 minutes on a weekday for a table for myself. I ordered a plain coffee and the corner beef hash. The coffee was alright but the corner beef hash was not good. The corned beef seemed canned, the house potatoes had too much pepper, and the sunny side up eggs had semi cooked yolks and the whites weren't completely set. After tip, I ended up spending $22 for a meal that wasn't that great.
Food was average. The bacon is not fresh - the microwavable strips. The jelly and syrup are the plastic prepackaged containers. The breakfast potatoes were amazing though and very flavorful. They sell a few bakery items and coffee beverages for takeaway.
Our server did not feel welcoming and seemed annoyed. Our drinks were ever refilled when they should have been.
Lots of adults. No kids meals, but they did have high chairs. 1 bathroom available.
There is a little bit of outdoor seating.

Gotta love supporting a local family and joint. Quaint little place with yummy homecooked food. Need to make a trip out here more often to try more of Jim's creations.

My husband and I are in Deephaven for two weeks watching our grands and our son told us we needed to go out to breakfast at Beanhaven. He said “it’s like a little hometown cafe” so today after getting the grands off to school we did. Wow, such a cute place, delicious food and coffee and a delightful server. I had the sausage mushroom quiche with Jim’s potatoes, my husband had eggs, bacon, Jim’s potatoes and toast. Omg every thing was amazing. We will definitely be back when we’re here from Iowa 😋😋😋
This is a great breakfast spot. The food is absolutely fantastic! Today I had the green eggs and ham and it had the perfect balance of basil pesto to add flavor but not overwhelm. I will definitely be back.
