I got the special kitfo and my friend the beef ribs. Kitfo is raw ground beef that is seaspned so be prepared for those who arent too fond of raw meat. I like it since ive grown up eating raw meat before. This dish does have ethiopian cheese and cooked spinach with it as well. I The beef tibs. Delicious and fragrant. Such good flavor reminds me of something similar to my childhood that ive eaten. Also the server and people were super nice to me and my friend. Excellent service!
I can't say enough good things about this place, my server keynoot was wonderful, recommended me some great dishes and was so kind to talk to! I tried the tibs, veggie platter and the coffee. If you love strong coffee with great flavor make sure you order it! The tibs were delicious, so much flavor in every bite. The dining area is intimate and beautifully decorated. I'll definitely be coming back!!

Gebeta Ethiopian Restaurant offers a wonderful Ethiopian dining experience in West St. Paul. The food is absolutely authentic, from the perfectly prepared injera to the rich, flavorful stews and tender meats. Guests can enjoy the special kitfo, a raw ground beef dish seasoned and served with Ethiopian cheese and cooked spinach, as well as the delicious and fragrant beef tibs, which have so much flavor in every bite. The veggie platter is great and comforting, offering a wonderful variety of vegetables, lentils and salad, and the fish goulash is a wonderful choice. The coffee is strong with great flavor, and the tea is also amazing. The dining area is intimate, warm, clean, and beautifully decorated with a beautiful series of painted illustrations of the Queen of Sheba story all around the dining room. The hospitality truly stands out—the staff graciously and enthusiastically answered all questions with genuine smiles, made guests feel like family, and provided excellent service. The inviting ambiance is fantastic for groups, and there are plenty of choices for those who don't like spicy food. It is a great place with great value and exceptional service.
