About The Catfish Place
The Catfish Place Reviews
Been going here for over 50 years. Always great food. Best Catfish I've ever had. I always try to stop by when Im in the area.
There are friendly campers everywhere in this well kept campground. Brian placed us in a gorgeous site at the edge of a pond and made sure we were settled in. We enjoyed the beautiful ponds and the wild ducks and geese. The restaurant has wonderful food, especially the jalapeño hushpuppies. We will be back again, the next time we are in the area.

The Catfish Place offers a delightful dining experience in a picturesque setting. The restaurant serves traditional country cooking, including fried chicken and catfish, as well as other dishes. While some meals may not be made from scratch, the great sides and overall experience make up for any shortcomings. The restaurant has a unique twist - a show for guests who feed the catfish. With a lovely playground and romantic bridge, it's a great spot for families and couples. Visitors often praise the friendly staff and the delicious, mostly homemade food, especially the jalapeño hushpuppies and the buffet options. The restaurant also features a dessert trio and a pineapple cake with ice-cream, which many find hard to beat. For those who enjoy fishing, there is the opportunity to catch fish and have it cooked on-site, adding to the fun experience. The playground remains a nostalgic favorite, and paddle boats are available for a small fee, making it a special place for both children and adults. Although not fancy, the restaurant provides good old-fashioned, down-home comfort food in a cozy, out-of-the-way location with plenty of parking.
