I haven’t been to Montelle winery for approximately eight years. The view is still fabulous, however, I would advise getting more umbrellas, so we do not have to bask in the sun. Even though it was a nice cool day, I still felt the heat of the sun and did not want to sit there for any longer than an hour or so.
We were visiting from Nashville and almost skipped this winery. Luckily a local told us about the amazing view and said it shouldn't be missed ... so we took a chance. They offer a tasting at the inside bar of any 4 (I believe) wines of your choosing. We liked one enough to buy a bottle and take it out to the deck with a meat and cheese tray. We had an amazing time!! Great location!! Instaed of driving over to IL, we have tons of wineries here in Augusta aka Defiance West Mo...the wine selection was huge we all hv differ taste pallets, we ordered tons of food 4 bottles & enjoyed live music & 1 of our very own songstress!! We were bold enough to sit outside during the peak of Cicada season; this was a huge challenge for me, but they stayed away or I seen them coming, dodging flying bugs!! But, I truly enjoyed...
