We stopped in during the Christmas Candlelight walk. We were not fortunate to know in advance so we did not have dinner, however, the staff was incredible. The ambiance was awesome and we can't wait to go back this spring to enjoy dinner outside!

We arrived in Augusta by bicycle on our KATY Trail expedition and stayed at a local B&B (also fantastic). We did not know what to expect on arrival. What we found was 5 stars all the way. This is a lovely restaurant located in a converted home. The rooms have a few tables and are not cramped - a big plus for me. The decorations are minimal, but very nice and the place was very clean. We were greeted warmly by the staff, well informed about the food, and had our questions answered. Being a foodie, I was not expecting the extent of the knowledge of our wait staff -- made my mouth water with just the descriptions. This is a small plate restaurant. We made the mistake of only getting the 3-course pre-fix meal. We should have gotten the 5-course meal. The food is beautiful - delicious - and perfectly prepared. My wife got the trout dish as our protein. I have fished for trout for years and have found even wild-caught trout bland - NOT HERE. I don't regret getting the Wagyu Beef (I would have eaten the entire steak it was so good); but wish I had also gotten trout. Appetizers and desserts were surprisingly simple in appearance, but complex and delicious. We have notified friends about this restaurant and will be bringing others with us next time.

Quaint little restaurant in Augusta! My girlfriends and I had a wonderful day visiting a few wineries in the area and finished with Dinner at Root. The service and ambiance were fantastic. Chef came out at the end to say hello, which I always love, especially with a tasting menu. Portions are VERY small and the menu rotates based on what’s in season. Our favorite was the Eclair on the staters menu. I absolutely loved the pork belly. The dessert I chose was a miss for me, as the honeycomb was way over powering and a bit peppery. Overall, if you are in Augusta, or looking to break up your winery weekend, this is a great spot to check out

We did the chefs tasting with wine pairing. We loved the experience and ambience. Dylan makes the best cocktails that I have ever had. Loved sipping a hardy beef dish out of a delicate tea cup. For the proteins, the beef absolutely is the best, hen in the woods was killer. In addition to the chefs tasting, we ordered the chicken terrine and it was top notch. We are planning to pop back in soon to try the dinner options that we different get to try.

After seeing a post mentioning Root Food and Wine in Augusta, we had to try it! The online menu and photos honestly had me worried knowing how husbands can be. Last Friday we went with another couple and let me tell you THEY HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!! 2 couples 5 course , only the wives did the wine pairing and we all enjoyed everything. This is a dining experience! Every plate was described in detail, wines were perfectly paired. We all agreed it was not what we expected but better. We all can't wait to go again.Bon Appétit

Delicious and so artful! Lovely treats in between courses. Gorgeous place that I would definitely visit again for a special occasion. As a 50 something female the food quantity of the 3 course was ok. But if you are younger or male you would DEFINITELY want the 5 course! The portions are miniscule. But all was delicious and the wine pairings were nice; although for the quantity, they could be higher end wines.

Another incredible evening with great friends and fantastic food. Everything was spot on! The duck with peaches was our favorite! The varieties of different peach applications were great and went perfectly with the duck and the wine pairings. What a great destination restaurant!
