This was our first time at Smitty’s. We arrived around 5:15 and got a decent table. From there things really picked up and I could tell right away that many of the customers were regulars. Sheryl was our server and she was hustling to take care of everyone. Our drinks came out quickly and our dinner orders taken. The food came out hot and delicious. I had the Smitty’s roast beef (shaved top roast beef on garlic cheese bread). Excellent!! Their creamy cole slaw is very good as well. The prices are reasonable, and fast, friendly service. I will definitely go back!

Gotta love it. Best fried chicken I’ve ever had - seriously. I drive 30+ minutes to grab a bite. Vibes inside are calm and cool. Lots of local and long-time customers. Staff has been here forever. Family owned. Catch Smitty and his son Dylan behind the bar and you’re in for a treat! I like my old fashioned.

Smitty’s is a true hidden gem! I was visiting from out of town and decided to give it a try based on the great reviews and it did not disappoint! I had the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich. My boyfriend and I agreed, It was easily the best chicken sandwich we’ve ever tasted. The chicken was perfectly cooked and was juicy, not dry. The buffalo sauce had just the right kick, and the combination of pickles and ranch made every bite delicious. We also tried the bacon burger, and I don’t know what magical cheese they used, but it was incredible. The French fries were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch and great flavor, making them a perfect side. On top of the amazing food, the service was attentive and kind, making the whole experience feel special. Overall, Smitty’s delivered probably the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

We’ve been going there since 1980s. The place has really gone down hill. FOOD WAS TERRIBLE,
quantity and quality. It showed, we were there
At 12:15 only 25% occupied.
We will never go back! What a shame.

How have I lived within a few miles of this place and not known about it for so long?? Friends recommended we give it a whirl, and we were not disappointed. In particular, the fried chicken, only available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, was given rave reviews by many. Taste buds ready, I was met with perfectly seasoned, crispy chicken that was cooked to perfection. You can choose your pieces and white vs. dark meat. The mashed potatoes were beautifully seasoned and the side of mixed vegetables (zucchini is seldom my favorite) was also delightfully seasoned and not soggy. Cheryl, our server, is a long-time staff who is warm, sweet, and ultra accommodating. The place was packed--confirmation that the word is out. The prices are super reasonable, including for my Tito's and vodka. Portions, as you can see, are generous. Love Smitty's!

Arrived at 8pm on a weeknight and ordered the fried chicken special. It came out piping hot and was a VERY generous portion. Food was flavorful and the staff were friendly. We will be back.
