Cashier complained about just sitting there asking customers what they wanted to order. She had customers every five minutes or so. But she loudly complained about having to “work the register.” All she did for me was click the button for funnel cake and tell me the price. I used Apple Pay for an easy purchase.
Also, I love Silver Dollar City, and we buy season passes every year, but come on. There are ZERO reasons why it takes 20 minutes to get three people’s funnel cakes made. I’ve made funnel cakes for hundreds of people and each one only took 2-3 minutes per order. We didn’t have the professional setup that they have.
We were just working with various pots and pans. This needs to change. This is a theme park and a fast food enterprise. Take a lesson from Chik-fil-a.
I know it’s set in old-times when the pace of life was slower, but the food lines would have been shorter and better equipped in the 1800s than they are at SDC. Not even kidding.

They are very slow and more concerned with counting registers and closing on time when it is over two hours from closing time. There are about 7 people in the kitchen with about 2 that seem to actually be working. If you want a funnel cake, plan for 30 minutes or more before it is ready. The line is large and Taco Bell would probably be a more positive experience.

I ordered 2 things fried fritter dessert things and a fried hotdog. I waited an hour . I kept thinking they skipped me so I’d ask and they said they were waiting on my fried dessert ball thingys . Crazy long wait time here

This restaurant at Silver Dollar City has always been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. They have good chicken tenders and fries, perfect for the picky eater. The funnel cakes are good too.

The most inefficient operation I’ve ever been apart of. One person running a register who you can tell absolutely hates her job, then it takes 45 minutes to put out 2 corn dogs and a funnel cake. Silver dollar city plans poor operates poorly and there food quality and prices are outrageous. Will Nkt be back
