“Friday July 11th; I drove right past the Carthage food truck Friday and headed for the best bite in town! Friendly staff, great burgers all wrapped up in a small old school building. When I left I also had to stop 1 block North and give the little girl selling lemonade a couple bucks!”

Our signature drinks were an absolute hit, everyone kept coming back for more and couldn’t stop talking about how good they were! Sarah was the perfect fit for Jordon and me—fun, personable, and so attentive to our guests. She kept the drinks flowing and the vibes high all night long. Honestly, 10s across the board! We couldn’t have asked for a better bartender to help make our special day! 🌸”

“lucky J is my favorite place here on Earth you can always be there to eat wonderful queso burgers or watch whatever is going on in the arena anytime I'm in Carthage that's where I go they're barrel racing is amazing too they got a pretty good pen in pattern they run a really good pattern the cloverleaf Matt Freeman and Jesse Freeman are wonderful people as well I strongly recommend lucky J if you're going to be on vacation that that's one of the places you stop”

“Ate here for the first time today, and it’s yet another reason why I love eating and supporting locally owned restaurants. Great atmosphere, staff was friendly and service was great. Ordered a double cheeseburger and tots and came out quick. Burger was juicy and flavorful. You can tell it’s cooked fresh. Food and service was 10/10 and will definitely be back very soon. I highly recommend this to anyone.”

“Might be some of the best pizza I’ve had. Really great dough sauce cheese and bake! I don’t know how they do it but the undercarriage is perfectly charred yet light and fluff on top leading to the best bend and texture I’ve ever had! This is why people LOVE pizza! Great variety of toppings, really good value, and great draft beer in frosty mugs! Beats a lot of high price pies in big cities. Really lucky to have a gem like this in the area!”

“Excellent service, nice clean restaurant. Some food options lack flavor. It would be easier to determine what some of the food choices are with some additional labels. Most of the meat choices like chicken, steak, ribs were good. Lots of desserts choices!!”

“This is an interesting place, a hidden gem. It doesn’t look like anything from outside, barely even a truck stop. But the food is delicious and the shelves are lined with Punjabi grocery staples. I talked to the young man working there and gathered that the customers are mostly long-haul truck drivers from India who stop in for a shower and a familiar meal. There’s even a familiar Punjabi style “table” - don’t know the real term for it.

The food was delicious, and I’d guess it’s the most authentic Indian/Punjabi food in Missouri. Not your typical Americanized Indian food; not a buffet. Just really good food.”

“The food here was fantastic! My husband and I got the dinner for two with the full rack of ribs and four sides. The ribs were so so good super tender. We’ve been trying to find a good rib place since Red Hot and Blue closed down. We also tried the porkanator sandwich yum! This is definitely the place to go and for only $40”

“The pupusas were a 10/10. They tasted amazing and were identical to the authentic ones I ate in California. The lady running the restraunt was so sweet and genuine that it was great having a conversation with her after we finished eating! There's hardly any Salvadoran restraunts in the area so I'm glad there is one serving amazing food!”

“😁Big Ben's is our lunch stop on our way home or to the lake. Our favorite is the large sliced brisket sandwich. So juicy and flavorable! It is perfect for us to split as we head down the road! If you have time to go and sit down the resturant is very nice great rustic decor.”

Whatever you do don’t go to the Asian bistro and Carthage my grandson took me there for my birthday today and I am literally so sick and I only took four bites of food so yeah, stay away from the bistro and stick with this restaurant”
