Let me just say that the reuben here is the best I've had in town. My other go-to is the arugula salad which is large and filling. I usually sit at the bar with Miss Rita and chat it up with her on the regular. The rest of the menu isn't bad for a hotel bar.
Out of side, out of mind. I had NO idea there was a restaurant inside the Sheraton. When you enter the hotel through the main entrance, Alexander's will be straight back past the lobby lounge to the left. The restaurant has a very intimate feel, partly because there are very few people there. With so many other options in Clayton, I don't know that I would eat at Alexander's again...unless I was staying at the hotel alone or wanted a quite intimate space to get together with coworkers...read full review

If you're visiting and you want to relax at an old time bar with wonderful staff, try Alexander's. Personable, attentive bartenders like Rita and Mary make it a real pleasure to have a night cap there. And be sure to check out a relative new comer, Julia, and try one of her craft cocktails for which she is already developing well deserved recognition! They're not on the menu, you have to ask her in person.
