Food was good, once we got it...even though it wasn't cooked to our liking. 2 tables arrived after us and ordered before us, 1 table ordered after us and they all received their food before us, whereas we waited 45 minutes to get our food, and we ordered basic burgers. Our waitress, Rachel, was not efficient...she didn't check on us on a regular basis either
I don't give very many five-star ratings, but CJ Muggs deserves one because they deliver exactly what they promise: really good comfort food in a casual atmosphere. In over 25 years of living in St. Louis, I've never eaten at CJ Mugg's, but I'm adding it to my list of fast and reliable casual eateries! Met up with a large group on a weeknight, and the place was full but not overly crowded. Our server, Rachel, was very attentive and showed up right on time whenever anyone joined...read full review

I ate at Cj Muggs last night and it was the best experience I've ever had in my life. I had Carolyn as my bartender and she knew every exquisite drink option. There was from gin to whiskey. This girl knew it and then the menu which had over 100 options she knew every ingredient to every Menu option there was I could not complain. I love Carolyn so much and when I come back, it will be the best experience I will ever have
