This place makes you feel that you are not in STL for a little while.

The ambience is very colorful and has a very special personality.

The servers are not rushing. They will give you a lot of space, and let you have a good time. Slow down and enjoy the meal and the company of friends.

We tried different tapas, as they are mostly shareable, and they were all good, specially the papas bravas and croquetas.

The seafood paella fits 2 people confortably. It is well seasoned and very tasty.

I had a great experience the day of the visit. It was the next morning when I noticed the additional charge from what I approved on my card. I called and spoke to a gentleman about the concern, explained I left a cash tip and should not have been charged. He says there’s nothing he can do, suggested I contact my bank, took my information and never heard back from him. That’s disappointing because the food was great. First time experiencing this from a restaurant. I would suggest to anyone, if you go, pay with cash because they’re not trustworthy.

Lunch with my family. 10/10 experience. Wish I had taken pictures of the food but we were too busy eating it. Fantastic tapas, gazpacho, and incredible Barca bowls. You can tell all the food is made with love, dedication, fresh ingredients, and skill. Staff was amazing, professional and friendly. Warm, clean atmosphere. Would recommend to everyone and will come again!!

Chef Frank and Chef Edy handled a rush catering order for us. Food was exquisite, customer service top notch, and pricing reasonable.
We will be back!

Everything we ordered was so delicious we had a hard time deciding which was our favorite. Try the mussels, you won't be disappointed.

My girlfriend and I had our Valentine's Day dinner here. The atmosphere was nice and casual. We ordered several items, and they were all delicious. The highlight was the bacon wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates. They were heavenly! I had never had paella, and it was very good! Our waiter was kind and attentive, and we had a very pleasant meal. We'll definitely return!

We ended up here because of the Clayton Restaurants week. We will definitely return. The food was fantastic. Everything paired nicely and Jessica’s wine suggestion made it even better. The star of the show were the mussels in the amazing red sauce( could have eaten a pot of it). Jessica made the evening enjoyable by being what a fantastic server should be, attentive, knowledgeable but not intrusive. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

I've been here numerous times. Moving reviews over from Yelp now. This was originally published 9/10/17:

Revisited this place since we were at the Art Fair and I wasn't really into most of what was available for food. I'm upping my previous review to 4 stars for a few reasons:

1. Visiting during CRW was apparently a mistake. You would think they would try to put their best foot forward for that week but apparently not.

2. Sitting outside and watching the people go to and fro reminded me of eating tapas in Spain. Much more reminiscent than the experience of sitting inside their very loud restaurant.

3. Gazpacho absolutely hit the spot on a warm afternoon! I loved the little bit of zip to it as well as the pure freshness of the tomatoes used to make the stuff. I really need to learn to make this at home!

4. Fried artichoke hearts were a perfect counterpoint to the gazpacho and execution was flawless.

5. Service was pretty good even though they were about 75% full.

Sadly, Modesto is no more. That really only leave Barcelona and Sanctuaria for tapas unless I'm missing some hidden gem. Sanctuaria can be hit-or-miss so I think that means we will be back when the tapas itch needs to be scratched next time. Good showing!

We ordered 4 items and they were all just ok. Not bad by any means, but no wow factor. Anything that hit the grill seemed overly charred. My wife missed the bread that came with the goat cheese dish at their old location. Great service though.

People were nice. Ambiance was all wrong. The music and vibe did not say Barcelona. My fault, not sure why I decided that going to Spanish tapas bar in Missouri was a good idea. Should of done BBQ. The meat was barely cooked and so I sent it back. (Had not done that in a decade) The Sangria is not allowed to ferment so its just wine with fruit added 30 seconds from being served. The patatas brava had what seemed to be tomato paste. Could not taste any garlic, paprika, or cayenne. The bar tender was cool but didn’t see any passion for the food in the chef/cooks. Honest review.

My family and I were coming here for dinner but to our surprise they were having a live band! It was a full house and when we went to turn around assuming no one would be leaving anytime soon the owner or manager told us he would try to find us a spot. When he came back out he told us unfortunately there were no spots left. We were bummed out and turned around and he started asking what kind of food we wanted and started giving us recommendations! That's when a manager of another restaurant, Herbie's, came over. They both immediately recommended each other's restaurant. It's nice to see that owner's in Clayton have each other's backs today. I can't wait to try either restaurant in the future!

The waitress/greeter had a personality of a toad. We were the first to walk in ( warning sign) and she didn't stop wrapping napkins and utensils to say hello and seat us. My wife ordered the bowl with steak. Steak didn't smell or taste right. It's NOT Tapas, it's BAR food.
