Went here recently with a group of friends, we had made a reservation. Once we received our food, our waiter only checked on us one time. Then our waiter messed up our bill and only realized it after charging someone for the wrong items.
And then only five minutes after receiving the bill the waiter told us that they needed us to move so they could give our table to someone else- we had only been there for an hour and five minutes at that point.

The BAO is a hidden gem in Clayton, offering top-tier food and a nice ambiance. The restaurant's lunch special, featuring its signature bao, is a great value. The bar offers an impressive variety of cocktails, with knowledgeable bartenders happy to make recommendations. The menu features unique dishes like Mala Popcorn Chicken and Khao Soi Udon, which are rich and flavorful. The food is beautiful and delicious, with great flavor pairings that make up for any slight issues with the bao buns' softness. Visitors can enjoy a comfortable atmosphere, especially since the air conditioning has been fixed and now keeps the inside perfectly cool. The restaurant is busy on Friday nights but offers free parking outside of business hours, with street parking available. Service is friendly, and the overall experience makes The BAO a great spot to try, especially for the Mala Popcorn Chicken and Bao combo special or the tuna nachos and Thai iced coffee that guests highly recommend.
