We went to Bao bc of searching an Asian good eat, we found BAO and gave a try. Best decision, the food is so good, atmosphere is great, little dark but it great for night out. The design is simple but characteristic unique. The sever was a nice introduce us a very good sake cheaper but pairing very well with our food. Definitely will be back whenever we have chance.

Very clean, cozy atmosphere. I didn’t not catch his name but our bartender/server today was so nice. All of the bao that we had were delicious and the fries are thin and cooked perfectly. The dipping sauce that comes with the gyoza is so good you could drink it. Highly recommend the Thai coffee.Vegetarian options: There is even a vegan option or two!

Good effort, but brown rice isn't fried rice. Also, if you're going to have an upcharge on it, give equal portions to steamed rice. Overall disappointed with the food and won't be ordering from here

Came here on a recommendation for Asian food, but this is definitely an asian american fusion restaurant. All of our food was more home style than what I was expecting. The name of the restaurant is bao, but the bao on the menu was more like sliders than actual bao. I ordered Katsu Curry and it was pretty good. Tasted just like the golden curry I make at home. The pork belly bao was the only disappointment. It was more like a crockpot roast pork slider (with no sauce or seasoning) than bao. The atmosphere was great and the service was good. If you’ve never had Asian food before this place might be a good on-ramp but it wasn’t what we were looking for.

Probably my favorite restaurant in STL. Came here on a whim and instantly fell in love and became regular. The food is absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is so cool, peaceful and fun. The wait staff are also all so helpful and fun people, we love Vance!
