We live in the area and ordered food online. We got: crab Rangoon, Mongolian beef, mango asparagus with fried rice.
The fried rice had a color resembling traditional Mexican rice but had zero added flavor. It was cold and seemed to be missing ingredients.
Their Crab Rangoons were also cold and stale, like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours.
The Mongolian beef portion was the smallest I've ever seen in a St. Louis Chinese restaurant.
When I order Chinese food, I'm not looking for anything life-changing, but at least something enjoyable. With this style of food having the same menu as other restaurants of this type, you would expect the food to at least be average for a Chinese restaurant in Clayton. However, it was not; it was a huge disappointment. Save your money and go elsewhere.
This food is of less quality than most of the other Chinese restaurants in the area.

Wonton soup with ham?! Terrible! No flavor in egg drop soup either. And the chicken lo mein was ugly (no color) and flavorless. It went him for the dog.

House of Wong is my absolute favorite Asian Restaurant! The food is amazing and always so seasoned.. I don’t live near.Clayton but I make a special trip to patronize this place. The owners are so nice and accommodating.. you will not be disappointed!

I’ve been getting food here for years. There must be a new owner and/or chef. It was horrible. The crab Rangoon only tasted of very strong garlic powder and the oil it was fried in was fishy. My entree was gloppy and the vegetables tasted like they had not been washed before cooking. Such a shame to lose a long standing local Chinese food location. On a Friday night there was not a single customer in the dining room only take out orders. I won’t be back.

I just moved to Clayton and was looking for a good Chinese restaurant. House of Wong did not disappoint! I ordered the crab Rangoon and shrimp fried rice for take out. My order was ready when I arrived and the food was perfect. I look forward to making House of Wong my go to place for Chinese food.
Atmosphere is poor due to being too quiet and no music playing. Food was subpar. The sweet-and-sour chicken was basically just chicken nuggets with a sweet and sour sauce that kind of tasted like a 9 V battery. The Kung pow chicken had bits of cartilage still in the chicken and it looks like they sprinkled on uncooked peanuts that were chewy.

The best part of this was my grub hub delivery person. We were visiting for a college visit decided to have Chinese delivered to the room. I’ve never had fried rice as nasty as this. It had a horrible taste. It tasted nothing like ant fried rice I’ve ever had.
