It's impossible to get a bad meal here. Sat at the bar on this visit and the vibe was terrific. Great service and conversation with Phil. One of the best places in town.

Probably the best restaurant I've ever been to not only in St. Louis. We've traveled many places !

After the rave reviews, I was a bit disappointed. The bleu cheese soufflé was nice, and the roasted beet salad was interesting but tiny, and not exactly what I expected. I realize that Wahoo is a lean fish, but mine was dry and overcooked. My server appeared condescending. I got the impression that he was disappointed I was eating alone and not drinking alcohol. When I used my dinner knife to apply butter to the nice homemade bread he stepped in and whisked it away, with a somewhat snarky comment about the proper knife to use. I did not have dessert. I thought for the price, the value was not there, and the service in this case was not optimal

We ordered the four-course tasting menu at The Crossing, and this allowed us to try eight different items. My wife thought the Caprese was outstanding, with heirloom tomatoes and Italian burrata. She also enjoyed the Missouri trout. My grilled octopus was also very good, and both desserts were Excellent. The blackberry sorbet was packed with flavor, and my lemon semi-freddo reminded me to always order this dessert item in the warm months! We did not do the wine pairings, as I had already included a note to please chill a bottle of Malvasia, and it was chilled and waiting on our table when we arrived. It was very customer-friendly that we could substitute in any of the daily specials for similar courses on the Premium tasting menu, and we did thusly modify three of our four courses. All persons on staff were pleasant, welcoming, and competent. Bottom Line: We will be dining here again! You can monitor the tasting menu options on-line to have an ordering and eating plan in place but then can modify with the day's specials.
