It must be hard being the best restaurant in St. Louis, but we certainly appreciate that you are.
Excellent unexpected experience in St. Louis, MO. The food was fantastic! (I had the tasting menu with Crudo, Octopus, Halibut, and Chocolate Torte. My husband had the Ribeye.) I love how they offer high end wines by the glass too.
Had a really fun, yummy dinner at the bar of The Crossing. The bar tender Matt manor a fun night for us. The food was delish and overall atmosphere was amazing.
We had an excellent meal and fun time with our waiter who provided great service. The rabbit pasta dish was superb!!
Smaller, low key but elegant upscale restaurant. Inventive menu with a unique selection of dishes. Service was stellar and worthy of some of the restaurants we frequent in New Orleans. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will return.
As always, our experience at The Crossing was wonderful. The food is outstanding. Our waiter was incredible. We even made a crazy request and he accommodated us. (Thank you!) For a fantastic meal, with incredible service and good conversations (love that they have plexiglass between the booths), choose The Crossing.
The only thing better than the food is the service. The Crossing never fails to deliver on an excellent experience.
The bathroom decor is not in line with the excellence of food and service. Quick update to match with the ambiance would be good.
For my 50th birthday, my partner and I chose the 8-course Chef's Tasting Menu at The Crossing, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Each course was beautifully crafted, with flavors that were both inventive and deeply satisfying. The pacing, presentation, and wine pairings were flawless. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel genuinely celebrated. From the first bite to the final dessert, the entire evening felt like a perfect tribute to this milestone. A truly unforgettable experience.
I sat at the bar and ordered to go food. The bartender was very kind and explained the items on the menu. I told him to choose one of the pastas for me, I wasn’t picky. When I was ready to leave, they had the to go food at the front door for me. They handed it to me and I went walking down the street to my hotel. About a block later, I heard someone saying “ma’am!” behind me. I turned around and someone from the restaurant was running behind me with a to go silverware. He handed it to me and said “I wasn’t sure if you had any silverware at your hotel and wanted to make sure you could eat dinner”. This is one of the kindest gestures and this level of service should be highly applauded!! Thank you so much for that. I am happily enjoying my food in my hotel room now and it is delicious! I will be back when I visit STL again.

It's always a special occasion to dine at the Crossing. Everything about the experience is “5 stars” but the food is above and beyond that rating - creative, beautiful, delicious, incredible.
The food and service are always top notch at The Crossing. The tasting menu is a great way to have an amazing experience. The wine list is so diverse, you are able to find a wine to suit any taste and any price.
Me and my wife went to The Crossing for a belated birthday dinner. We sat at the bar. The Bar tender had excellent service. My first course was excellent. I had the Escargot, and it was very flavorful. My second course is where things started to go downhill for me. The second course was the Spanish Octupus, and there was an off-putting taste of mustard that made this course not particularly my cup of tea. My Third course was the Hanger Steak, and again, it fell short of expectations. It was described as being served medium rare. However, when eating it, it was much chewier than anticipated. I would say it was rare or blue. I forgot to take a picture of the desert, which was Ginger Creme Brulee. The ginger was just way too overpowering. Side note: the bartender must have known this was not the best desert choice here because he tried to entice us to choose something different. I am a big fan of Cream Brulee. However, I don't typically see it on many menus, so I stuck to my guns and ordered it anyway. We really had a strong dislike for the creme brulee, and the bartender did bring us a scoop of sorbet to try to smooth it over. Again, his service was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, I probably would not go back or recommend this restaurant purely from the food.

Oh my, the food was fantastic! This was our first visit here and we were very happy with everything. Our server was wonderful, she made great recommendations and was well versed in detail and ingredients for all items on the menu. The food did not disappoint either. Everyone at the table ordered something different, one dish was better than the next! We highly recommend!

The Crossing offered a unique, intimate, personal, high quality dining experience that is hard to find. The cuisine was true to its inspiration as a crossing between Italian and French . Our server Joshua had great recommendations for how to make complimentary choices with the tasting menu, he was personable and passionate and added to the overall experience. Every dish was so well constructed and balanced, truly an adventure for the taste buds. Everything made in house with seasonal ingredients and you can definitely tell. We will be back!
