We were seated at the bar, which I requested. It was cozy and I didn't feel like my husband and I were too close to other people. Our server/bartender was Phil. Super friendly and helpful. We both did the tasting menu with the wine pairings. As usual, the food was outstanding and we enjoyed the wine pairings very much. This is our go to place to celebrate. Never disappoints.
The best restaurant in Clayton, in my opinion. Great setting, outstanding food, and excellent service.
The food was amazing. As a New Yorker I'm very pick, but the food was outstanding. It's a small place, doesn't look super fancy but probable the best food we have had in. St. Louis
The Crossing offers a refined, elegant atmosphere with attentive, polished service. The ambience is unquestionably one of its strongest points. The food is solid and competently executed, but predictable and not particularly memorable or surprising. Unfortunately, the New Year's Eve pricing felt significantly inflated relative to the overall dining experience, making it difficult to justify the cost despite the excellent setting and service.
Had a great New Year's family celebration! Tasting menu was delicious and so was the wine pairings that went with it Great service and recommendations Complimentary coat check and valet was especially nice Glad we visited a prior gem!
We had the premium tasting menu, and it was all delectable. Brent was our wonderful waiter. We were celebrating our anniversary, and this was the perfect place to do that.
Our meal, experience was so relaxed yet upscale and professional. Brent, our waiter, was attentive yet non intrusive. Service and food was excellent.
Thank you!!! Karen and Joe

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We opted for the four-course meal, and every dish was thoughtfully prepared and genuinely delicious.
What really stood out was the customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the celebration feel truly special.
The venue itself is small and incredibly charming, lending a lovely, intimate atmosphere to the meal. It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion or a cozy, high-quality dinner. Highly recommend!

We celebrated our 10th Anniversary here. Howard, our server, offered to provide tasting portions for us because we wanted to try 4 courses but not do the tasting menu itself. The food was very good, thought nothing specifically was outstanding. We had a small beet salads, tuna tartare, beef tartare, blue crab cake, escargot, and for entrees we both had the strip sirloin. The beef was covered in sauce, which, while tasty, made me think the quality of the beef couldn't stand on its own if needed. The environment is cozy and mostly on the quieter side with noise levels. I recommend going for regular portions of things, as it seems some of the taste and pizzaz is lost when getting smaller portions...they may be presented differently, I think. The beet salad definitely is.

The crossing is a delicious restaurant with great ambience and service! We will definitely be returning again and again!
The best place to enjoy wonderful food, attentive friendly service in an unpretentious environment. When a restaurant is this good, they don't have to look like they're trying too hard.
The best
I absolutely love this dining spot! The fresh pasta is amazing, and they always have great specials. It feels like I'm back at a cozy French restaurant in Paris. I highly recommend it!
I had not been to the Crossing in a long time. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. I also love that it is was one the few fine dinning restaurants in Clayton that are open for lunch. There were clean plates all around the table, but I especially loved my trout entree with mash, veggies and sauce. It was a beautiful warm meal for a crisp fall day. Will be back again soon.
