Had the pulled pork, mac n' cheese, and green beans and everything was amazing. My friend got ribs, okra, and greens and they were delicious too. I heard the brisket is fantastic but they were out. Service was great, everyone was very friendly.Excited to go back and try more!

The food Absolutely delicious!! I have not tasted any restaurant that comes close to how good the food is; only down fall has been the male cashier. I thought it was odd that I was charged a few dollars more for my son's kids meal than advertised. I brought it up to the cashier, and he just said due to inflation food cost more & prices were higher. I told him I understood that, but you can only charge what the price is stated. He didn't agree.Long story short , talked to the manager come to find out she was the owner and she was very nice

I really don't know if this place is okay or not I haven't had the chance to visit yet I'm still saving money but my son he really wants to go every time we pass it when we go to Columbia you always say Mommy I still want to go there so one day when I save up enough money I will make you stay a little and I know he will be happy too. so in due time he will be there I promise.

Driving though town and found this place. Was glad we decided to check it out. Friendly service. Delicious brisket. Added the fried okra and baked beans. Excellent choice. Don't pass it up.

I stopped in while traveling through Columbia. The place is an old fast food joint and works well. I got the rib sandwich. It was supposed to be three bones, but the gave me 4. The lady said I looked like I needed 4. Ribs were good, but a little soft for my taste. I like some mouth feel on my ribs. Personal preference!

I found Big Daddy's through Google reviews while searching for a Barbecue restaurant in Columbia. It has 5 stars which are well-deserved. Note that there are two locations...the one on N. Garth Ave is take-out (it looked like there were picnic tables outside) and the one on N Paris Rd is a restaurant. I ate at the latter. The staff is incredibly friendly and all of the food is homemade...and really really good. The menu is what you'd expect - and want - a variety of barbecued meats, a variety of sides and fantastic barbecue sauce on the side. The place itself is low key and casual and there is a bar. As I was passing through Columbia and live over 1500 miles away, I don't know if I'll be back again. But, if I lived in the area this would be my go-to BBQ spot. If you are nearby - or have reason to pass through make it a point to get yourself to Big Daddy's. You will not be disappointed!

Got the ribs and brisket plate. The ribs were pretty good. The brisket was dry and tasted like roast. Think we just caught them on a bad day with this. BBQ sauce made it better. All sides were very good. Only one BBQ sauce available but we both liked it. Overall 3.5 stars.

This place has the best bbq, not just in Columbia, not just in Boone County, but in all of Mid-Missouri. I'm willing to stake out a claim and say that. The restaurant itself is very humble looking, workers serving meat buffet style behind glass with an old looking coke machine just out of sight. The floors are old tile and there's wood paneling and it's very very tight! Definitely nothing fancy, but that's because these people are focused on BBQ AND NOTHING ELSE! The homemade Big Daddy's bbq sauce is sweet without being goopy or thick and smokey without tasting like somebody had an accident at the liquid smoke factory. I order something that some folks call a "horseshoe" but I've never referred to it that way and it isn't on the menu. But it's Big Daddy's pulled pork nachos on a bed of fries instead of chips, with no beans. I wish I had a picture but it never lasts long enough for that. Also did I mention it's reasonably priced? Also did I mention its black owned? Also did I mention they serve drinks too? Only hang up is they aren't open more days a week.

We had been to Big Daddys barbecue on the Business Loop a couple years ago and I wasn't overly impressed. We decided to give it another shot at this new location. I called ahead and ordered a brisket dinner with two sides. When I went to pick it up about 15 minutes later, they had not made it and it was busy so I stood there and waited while about 10 people went in front of me not a huge deal when I got up to pay it was $20 and I thought "wow they raised their prices!". I took it home and opened it and it was a sandwich, so I had a brisket sandwich, beans and coleslaw and a soda for $20. I checked their menu online and it turns out I was completely overcharged. The food was decent, but they need to get their act together.
Wow wow wow!!! Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is unmatched. The staff is GREAT & truly cares about your experience.. The food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Seriously!! Absolutely the best meal we had in awhile! You just feel at home!! Highly highly recommend! There's no way I'm not coming back! It's just a must have!!

This is our new favorite spot for BBQ. My husband and I split a rack of ribs dinner and it was the right amount for two "mature" individuals. They have a decent beer selection as well. The staff are friendly and efficient. Another time we came for the fried fish since someone had mentioned it, but we'll probably stick with the ribs (pun intended) from now on. The fish was good but just not as fabulous as the ribs.

Throughly enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and I thought the sauce was fantastic. I'm from KC and have had all the greats and this place rates right up there with them!! Will definitely return on my next visit to Columbia.
