Slow!!!! It takes then I've 30 min to make food that I ordered to go. They said it would take 15 min. But at least the place is clean. And has some cool trees.

I am very disappointed that i had to wait longer for my order my delivery driver called me to tell me that the lady at the front of the restaurant told her that she can cancel my order and let other driver pick it up after she had waited more than half an hour and driver had said that the lady at the front got really ugly with her and told her that she had to wait another 25 mins obviously my first driver cancelled and my order is now late and am still waiting on my order this lady shouldn’t be working there telling drivers to cancel and i know they can care less about customers who order online because they already have my money my driver is like am the one picking it up i would never order from here again they also have no respect for online customers if they can keep their ETA. And my food is LATE.

Ordered for the first time, I was craving sushi and ramen that I miss from NY. I didn’t expect a lot, and I still was disappointed. The sushi was okay, and the ramen was legit half the size you should get for the price. The ramen had no depth of flavor and neither did the sushi. I thought maybe I could find a place at least close to what I left in NY but I think I may give up. I’m sure it has all the good reviews from people that have only had mid Missouri sushi their whole lives. No disrespect, but this is just okay, not good and definitely not great. Maybe coronavirus has changed them, but I have no point of reference for that.

I've come a couple times and have always been very impressed with their food. Sushi is very fresh and well done. I've had their Katsu don and Katsu ramen. The Katsu is pretty good and the ramen is okay. However their sushi is where Bonsai really shines. They also have a lot of market fresh sushi at market price. If you're in Columbia I would definitely recommend coming to Bonsai for some very good and authentic sushi.

Very disappointed after all of the wonderful reviews. The sushi was just okay, nothing any better than Schnucks grocery store sushi. The Sun roll was okay, the futimaki was ehhh, the bonsai roll was yuck. The eel and tuna did not taste fresh to the point that I took the tuna off and pulled the eel out.

Yummy sushi but small portions. The sushi tasted fresh and delicious. We got takeout on a Sunday, and it was ready within 20 min. - Salmon Sashimi (5/5): so fresh! I love when salmon almost melts in your mouth. Only 5 pieces of salmon though for $11 - White Dragon Roll (4.5/5): very flavorful, a little heavy on the spicy mayo but still yummy- Tiger Roll (4/5): excellent. Loved the shrimp and crab, but this roll was pretty small (only 6 pieces)- Tuna Avocado Roll (4/5): your basic tuna avocado, a go to.

The most amazing sushi in Columbia, and I've tried them all. Bonsi has very fresh product and presentation is beautiful. Their cut of sushi is outstanding, they should be your first pick for sushi! The atmosphere is perfect for date night or small group setting, it's very intimate. The service is 5-star, don't over pay for other places in town, this IS the hidden gem!

Great place to dine-in, authentic atmosphere. The beef teriyaki was amazing and cooked perfectly. The sushi hit all the spots and was even good the next day (dangerous, i know). Our new favorite sushi/fusion spot in Columbia!

The best sushi in town. Their food is always consistent in presentation and taste, and during this pandemic, they truly put their customers first. I can always stop by and know that I'll be treated well. Highly recommended!

Ordered delivery and was pretty disappointed as I had heard good things. Unfortunately the fish on the nigiri was sliced very thick and wide and did not seem like it was done by a sushi chef. The teriyaki salmon was fine but seemed just to be some oven baked fish with a thin sauce poured over. None of it was awful and was pretty mediocre but I was still left unsatisfied paying near 50 dollars for a very underwhelming meal..

Great service. Menu well constructed. Miso soup very good. Salmon teriyaki very tasty, as was side of veggies. Margaritas yummy.

The ton-kat-su I ordered today, it’s already overcooked. Won’t eat at bonsai anymore
