Fantastic BBQ, not sure if it's Kansas City style or St Louis style but it was good. Went there for dinner with a couple of friends. Plates were well portioned for the price and everybody enjoyed dinner. Pretty quiet for a Monday night, I imagine the atmosphere might be livelier on a different night. Service was good but casual, as was the overall atmosphere.
Had a quick lunch at Bud's and was quite impressed. I'm a tough grader for BBQ joints but Bud's passes the test. He serves Texas style barbeque and this Texan enjoyed it. My MU professor friend had the nachos and they looked amazing. They don't cheat you on portion sizes here!
First time visiting when we came in on Friday July 18th 2025 at 8pm and it was empty. We had to ask and confirm they were open. The host was timid and lacking energy. Maybe it was a single off day for her. The food was pretty good. The tacos were delicious. They had ran out of Mexican street rice so we didn’t get to try it out. The tater tot casserole lacked flavor. The skirt steak on the tacos was spot on. The bar was closed so we didn’t get to try any drinks. No music playing,...
