The food is absolutely amazing and Mahi the owner is there to give recommendations and advice on ordering. The sampler was the perfect fit for two of us - I will definitely be returning!

We loved our food! My husband and I shared a sampler platter for lunch. Everything was delicious and the server/cook was very friendly. It was fun to try something new. We'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time :-). We ordered everything on the menu so that we could enjoy every flavor. The beef tartar was spicy at extremely good. I've had Ethiopia when I was a kid and started feels just like it was back then.
We have plenty of food for some leftovers for a number of days We are super happy with our visit. Finding different foods in the middle of Missouri while I'm vacation be challenging get this exist. We live in the middle of nowhere and we don't have much till this place is a delight.
The location is in the alley just so that anyone reading this knows. We walked the alley once before on our tour of downtown and some sites.
There are only two items on the menu though we were not able to get that was eggplant comes a green beans one. For the entire menu spent less than $200.

It was so exciting to go somewhere with so many vegetarian options! It was also my first time trying Ethiopian food and it was so delicious and nutritious. I got the vegetarian platter and got to try a sample of 5 of the vegetarian dishes. My taste buds were very happy.

The only Ethiopian restaurant in Columbia making it the best Ethiopian restaurant in Columbia. Seriously, the chef and owner, Mahi, truly cares to produce amazing Ethiopian food and she does remember you along with what you like to eat and how spicy. The food here is always delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The inside of the restaurant is small with only about 6 - 7 tables. The service is always on point and most importantly the food is amazing, I’ve never been disappointed.

So thankful to have Ethiopian cuisine in Columbia. Downtown smells so much better now. I always just get the sampler for 2ppl. Never been disappointed. It’s always been enough for us and comes out quick.

this is my favorite restaurant in CoMo! mahi remembers all her customers, and the food is always delicious. the portions are great too. i always get the sega alicha wot with rice and mahi's memorized my order when i come in. the food comes out so quickly and is always nice and hot as well. she goes above and beyond to make anyone eating here feel welcomed. i feel like anyone could find something they enjoy on the menu, and there are so many vegan options as well for anyone conscious of that. truly a hidden gem!!

Finally got to try Mahi’s after wanting to for a while, and I’m so glad I did! The food was amazing; so flavorful, and the portion sizes are great. I can’t wait to go back again and try more! Also, there are plenty of options for vegans/vegetarians, which is really nice as well. Mahi herself is really sweet and provided great service. Whether you’ve had Ethiopian food before or you’re interested in trying it, please check this place out to support a local business and taste some delicious food. :)

This place is awesome! You need to take your friends or family here. Look for the Open sign in the window that's about waist height. I'd never had Ethipoian food before, but now I see why people love it! They have food for everyone, including vegetarian and vegan options. I fully recommend this restaurant to anybody.
