Food was very good. They put my food in a plastic container, put the container in a paper bag, then put the paper bag upside down inside a plastic bag. When I took the food out of the bag, because it was upside down, the container had opened. It was a gigantic sloppy mess. Had to dig most of the food out of the bottom of the paper bag, then use a massive amount of napkins to clean up all the sauce that had dripped all over me, my desk, and the floor. I think the egg roll was good...read full review
Folks, this is the best Chinese food in Columbia.
This was so good , flavor explosion in every bite. The people who were working were so nice. I’m so glad Bamboo Terrace is on 9th street now. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Based on recent reviews, Bamboo Terrace offers the best Chinese food in the area, with authentic dishes and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The beef lo mein, duck lo mein, and duck fried rice are highly recommended, with the duck having a great smokey taste. The fried rice is simply amazing, similar to the special fried rice from St. Louis, with plenty of meat. The sesame chicken is yummy with a great texture, and the bourbon chicken is soft and juicy on the inside with a good crunch on the outside. The curry crab Rangoon is fabulous and not sweet, while the chicken egg roll is very good. The house made hot mustard and house made sweet and sour sauce are both delicious. Vegetables are crunchy, and the sweet/hot sauce looks like yellow broth for dipping. The general tso’s chicken is tasty but the least favorite item. The waitstaff is super friendly, and one of the owners came out to answer questions. The open kitchen allows diners to see the wok and flames. All food is prepared fresh, and eating in is recommended. The restaurant has reopened in a new downtown location.
