Everything here arrives absolutely drenched. The shrimp tempura had real potential, genuinely good shrimp under there, but it was so waterlogged from sauce and slaw that the batter gave up entirely. Tempura should crunch. This one sighed.

Recommended packing list: umbrella, rain boots, a few sandbags for the perimeter, and roughly one napkin per bite. I went through a stack and still left tacky.

The bulgogi bao — ground beef, FYI, not sliced, in case you had expectations — was tasty but swimming.

Flavor-wise they know what they're doing. They just need to ease up on the sauce bottle and let a few things stay crispy. Four stars if you're into it 💦, three if you like your food dry.“

“Came here on a whim as a stop between KC and St. Louis. It was a good bit off the highway, but I'm glad we stopped in. The service was good and the food was delicious. I got the Country Fried Chicken and my wife got the Philly. Both were very good, especially the fries.“

“One of my favorite local spots. It is ALWAYS so busy so plan on waiting a bit but they typically are upfront and honest about how long it may be and sometimes they get you seated faster. The make a great steak but I also love their french dip sandwich. They have some tasty cocktails too! And while you eat you can people watch or enjoy the art on the walls around you. They constantly display a variety of artist in the restaurant which is so much fun to see. Likely it will be different next time you return. So glad they reopened after the fire damage.“

“We have visited this restaurant several times as I have two grandchildren at MIZZOU. We have always been more than pleased with the food and the service. I also, want to thank the kind manager, who took the time to track me down and let me know they had found a watch that I lost while visiting the restaurant. This was above and beyond. “They were usually only open in the evenings, but now they are open for lunch. Also, if you have allergies PLEASE ask. Their menu doesn't list what's in the dish. There is a lot of dishes with Shrimp. I got the authentic Korean dish Ja Jang Mein. That is a wheat noodle with black bean sauce and it had pork, shrimp, zucchini, and onions. This was not a spicy dish. Specify spice level on the spicy dishes. The American Chinese dishes are going to be ok, but to get the good dishes you need to step out of your comfort zone and ask about the authentic Chinese or Korean dishes. Great service. Suggestions are welcome.“

“We went to The Heidelberg for their advertised "Happy Hour." We ordered the HH Long Island Tea, which is featured prominently on their menu. A couple of minutes later, the server comes back and ask us "now what did you want??" iced tea ? what was it?? I said Long Island Tea, and he's still looking at me with this puzzled look and tells me "I don't drink?" I could go on but you got the point. Then, I inquire about .. again on the menu!! the buy one appetizer get one free HH special.and he said any appetizers qualify.. instead we got two sets of appetizers ..that's right. FOUR appetizers came out. instead of the two I ordered.. and he looked at me and said.. "you said two" .. you can't make this stuff up .. The entire visit from the moment we walked in the door was a complete train wreck.. Please train your servers better so they know what's on your menu .. Why advertise stuff if the server has no idea what it is???“
