Peggy Jean's Pies

This is an updated/changed review from 1⭐️ to 3⭐️ for their effort.
( I did express a Fresh baked pie for the replacement pie) I paid $25.02 that was with a $2-3 tip-
I purchased a full price pie, but two times I got pies that were expiring in two days even the replacement pie, although it did look and was a lot better than the first pie.
Still wasn’t pleased considering the original pie we purchased was not at a discounted price. At least not that I could tell, or was properly,
informed.
I’ll just stick to frozen pies only and bake them myself. That way I know they’re COOKED fresh.
Even if it’s not made fresh.
No harm no foul I’m not trying to bash you guys, just sharing my experience.
Usually, I have a good experience with this name, but I’ve always used the other store.
My 1st time using this store.

Omg, the raspberry keylime pie ?! The custard is so delicate and the crust is flaky and buttery.

Update Must Read:Now for the Pot Roast Pot Pie, lordy. I can't say enough spectacular things about it for real. The crust is so flaky and delightful to taste. Biggest pot pie with fabulous crust and holes poked in it, too. Nothing in the stores or another restaurant can compare to it. I couldn't finish it. There's so many big chunks of tasty meat, big tasty potatoes , and plump carrots along with peas. Then the gravy or juices are delicious too. For the price, it's well worth every penny, and I can't wait to try the chicken & Southwest chicken as the owner has winners for sure on these pot pies, kudos.Let's move on to the Cherry Custard yummy pie. I've been looking it seems like forever to find a fabulous custard in a pie.Guess what? I found my dream cherry custard pie. The custard is so creamy, and the sweetness is on point big time along with the perfect cherries. Again, the crust is so flaky and tasty kudos to a perfect crust it's so rare that it doesn't fall apart and holds up to where you can pick it up and eat with your fingers. I must admit that I demolished that pie in hours. Thank God it was only 6 inches.Now I've definitely found my favorite pies the white chocolate strawberry, cherry custard, and of course the pot pies. Big shout out to the Owner on a spectacular bakery filled with such delightful and delicious goodies.Next time, gonna have to try the quiche for sure!The drive from St. Louis is so worth it, and believe me, I'll be going a lot more. Did I mention they ship, too?Pie places and bakeries are one of my favorite places to experience, and Peggy Jean's is definitely a hit and a must visit if you like fabulous tasting pies!It's my favorite place to stop and get pies, both sweet and savory. I called that morning to get 3 white chocolate strawberry pies held for me as I missed the cutoff time the day before they suggested calling the next day.I tried their pies when we were in town, treasure hunting, and now I'm hooked on the white chocolate Strawberry 6 inch pie. Luckily, when I went in to pick them up, they had the cherry cherry custard pie. Usually, they are special order. To my surprise, they had 3 of them, so of course, I picked up 2 of the 6 inch ones.Last time, I didn't try their savory pie, so this time, I picked up dinner for grabbing 2 of the pot roast pot pies. You heard me pot roast pot pies 6 inch. The reason I keep stating 6 inch is because they do have 9 inch pies, too. They would go bad before I could eat them, so I enjoy the 6-inch pies. Also, they have quiche as well. I'll let you know how the pot roast pot pie is when I eat it. Did I mention they ship as well. Big shout to the owner for having such fabulous sweet & savory pies for single people.Don't miss out if you're driving thru Columbia, Missouri. Stop in and seriously try the White Chocolate Strawberry pie it's outrageously tasty!

I love Peggy Jeans! I mainly get the quiches there, & they are great! The taste is very good, & the ingredients they use together in them goes very well together.

A big disappointment. We thought with the prices we would get a great tasting pie. We tried 6” American apple. Hoping to find a good option for thanksgiving. Well the crust was good. The staff was friendly. The good stops there unfortunately. The pie was missing flavor. I’ve never had an apple pie that you can’t taste any cinnamon, or spices of any kind. Needed more sugar. I understand prices are going up but to charge what they do. I would think they could afford to add more to make it flavorful. Shame. We won’t be back.

You can not go wrong with their pies! Pot pies are also wonderful!

Peggy’s chocolate cream pie is so silky and rich, you will just want to lay down in it.

I’m a diabetic and a lot of sugar free desserts don’t taste good. I ordered a sugar free coconut cream pie and it was amazing!! I would recommend them to everyone.

First time getting a pie at this store. The pie was just okay. I got the chocolate silk pie and the mousse was incredibly sweet. I’ve never had chocolate pie of any sort with plain/ regular pie crust before getting a pie from here. Usually dessert pies have sweet or cookie crumble crusts. Cute store, great workers, clean.

My husband and I stopped in to grab a 5” pie to share and has the Banoffee Pie…sooo good. The ingredients list is super simple, no additives and extra stuff. Just goodness? Staff was very friendly, store is clean and kitchen tidy behind counter. Super cute home decor for sale. Highly recommend!

Amazing Pies and the staff is super friendly. They were great for my event too. Over 125 tarts, individually wrapped! Looked adorable and tasted amazing! Peggy Jean's is always a win!
