What a lovely little place! This was our first sushi in Missouri. The server/host was an absolutely delightful person. He was kind and helpful and gave us plenty of space and time to decide. We were disappointed in the lack of options when it came to raw fish in the rolls. There were great nigiri and sashimi Options, but the rolls were mostly cooked fish or crab/shrimp based. What we ordered though - it was incredible. Hamachi sashimi, rainbow roll, unagi roll, and spider roll. The rainbow roll did have raw salmon and tuna on it, so that was the favorite! But all rolls were incredible!

Went on a Saturday around 3pm. We were seated fairly quick however the table was dirty. Asked for a rag to wipe it down and was told that my server would do it. This was fine by me. However, it took our server 10 plus minutes to come to our table. Mind you, they were not busy, and there were at least three tables there with a few patrons. Once she did show up, she was friendly and took our order. There were five of us. It took us over an hour before we got our food. It took the server quite a while for her to come with our check. She never showed back up to pick up the check up. We left the exact change. I've been to Sake before and have always raved about the place. However, after this visit, my family and I will not be returning.

The food here is good, however, it takes about 10 years to get it. The first time I came here, my girlfriend and I ordered drinks. We waited about 5 minutes before getting worried. We watched our waiter converse and joke around with other customers and staff for about 30 minutes before we finally said something. We would have tried to say something, but he did not come near us once. He ended up comping the drinks for us once we asked if they were coming, but it really messed with our experience.

We ordered our food in an empty restaurant and waited for over 45 minutes for it to come out. Watched all of the chefs take a break before making our food. Then the food proceeded to sit there for 15 minutes before the roll was made to complete the meal. Sitting here typing this review waiting for my food with cold miso soup. Ambiance is not that good either.

So many great things to say, amazing owner and staff. Kind, good hearted people with great hospitality and customer service. Sushi was some of the best I've had and I have had a lot of sushi. Recommend ask for chefs choice and allow them to work their magic. Gorgeous dishes plus they tasted amazing. Salad was awesome and the sake was warm. I will be recommending everyone I work with to come support these wonderful folks There are numerous positive things to mention about this place - from the fantastic owner and staff to the kind-hearted individuals with exceptional hospitality and customer service. The sushi was truly outstanding, some of the best I've ever had, and I've had my fair share of sushi. I highly suggest requesting the chef's choice and letting them showcase their skills. The dishes were not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. The salad was excellent, and the warm sake added a nice touch. I will definitely be encouraging all my colleagues to come and support these amazing people.

Eh, is the word that first comes to mind when leaving Sake Japanese Bistro & Bar. Nothing that was horrible but certainly lacking something that left your taste buds desiring more depth of flavor. Not to stereotype but when you walk into a Japanese restaurant and the only people you see in both front and back of house are white people, you'd think the patrons would know better than to have any sort of hope for having anywhere near an authentic or just tasty in general experience. We ordered both the big "o" roll and the Tonkatsu (with chicken instead of pork since they were out). Firstly why do restaurants false advertise mediocre dishes. Instead of the roll being called the Big "o" it should instead be named faking it with my husband to hurry up and get it over with. It is a fried roll however it left much to be desired with the soggy rice and lack of fresh ingredients the only thing in your mouth you can taste is grease and warm cream cheese. My only reasonable conclusion must be that the Big "o" must've been named by a man who has no idea what a let down him and his roll are to woman. The Tonkatsu had potential, while a generous portion size, there was certainly no generosity in the flavor profile. Just an overall heavy dish with nothing to cut the blandness of the dish. Salt, acid, fat, heat, all things the menu creator has never heard of. Save you money and go to India's house or Szechuan House for a more authentic experience that won't leave you faking your Big "O".

Out of all the sushi restaurants in Columbia, this is my favorite. The fish seems the freshest and the service is always speedy. I have a sesame allergy, so it is always a bit worrisome to go to a restaurant with lots of sesame, but they have always gone out of their way to make sure there is no cross contamination. We have had a bento box, raw sushi, and cooked sushi and all have been tasty!

Friendly service but the wait time for the food was very long, 30-45 minutes waiting for sushi and noodles. It was very good food but a bit expensive for the portion sizes.

Has some good options, but feels as though the quality has gone down within the last two years of going.
