About Shortwave Coffee

Shortwave Coffee is a popular coffee shop known for its incredible coffee, tea, and perfect ambiance for studying and socializing. Customers praise the jazzy atmosphere, chill vibes, and friendly staff. The Moroccan mint ice tea, matcha, and mint mayday drinks are particularly well-liked, along with the delicious pastries, despite the slightly higher prices.

The coffee shop is praised for its clean and cozy space, with a warm wood theme creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The in-house roaster is exceptional, offering outstanding flavor profiles, including an Ethiopian pour-over. The larger 9th Street location is also fantastic, but the original Alley A spot has a special charm.

Staff is friendly and patient, quickly serving drinks and providing a quiet environment perfect for focusing on work. Customers appreciate the laid-back vibe, which makes it easy to get work done while enjoying background conversations and soft music. The downtown location is convenient, and the overall experience is enhanced by the helpful and lively staff. The coffee and food remain consistently good, with the cold brew often considered the best in the area. Whether stopping in for a latte, chai, or pastry, visitors find Shortwave Coffee to be a welcoming and enjoyable spot for coffee lovers.

Closing in solidarity with Minnesota! I don’t drink coffee, but it sounds like I should start here at Shortwave 👊🏼
Alley location features industrial decor and quiet place to study or meet up. Friendly, hard-working staff. Abra mixed up a good iced latte. Highly recommend.
Great little coffee shop in a nice location off an alley. You step down into a room with a low ceiling. It's intimate and always the right temperature in the room. The important part is that the coffee is very good. And let's face it, that is not always the case with these coffee shops.
