“Best chicken shawarma in the area by far. The sauces are delicious and the fries are seasoned with the perfect blend of spices that bring them to life. Great, fast service too!“

“First time visit today (12apr2024), out of state visitors for the day (IL), happen to be in the area. Ordered togo: Chicken Shawarma plate Beef Kafka plate Chicken Shawarma Sandwich Humus with Chicken Shawarma 4 extra peta and 2 garlic sauce While waiting, the place had a nice feel, music, etc. After a small amount of time we were offered Coffee. To those that dont know with these style of coffee it can be bitter to the normal pallet. This is a mix of coffee and tea I believe was told at this location. My SO, which was their first time trying this, is not a fan. Having tried some out of state (MI) before, it was little better than I have have in the past. VERY Hot in temp, so you will want to let cool some. The ChkShawm sandwich was good, SO didnt like as much but I enjoyed it. We both enjoyed the rest of the order, so much that my SO over eat some and was hurting. It was tempting to do the same. The Chicken was very good and juicy, not dried out like once place we tried few months ago. Rice was very good, the one plate's rice might have needed just a bit more cook time as a very small amount was still a bit al dente. Glad we ordered the extra garlic sauce as it didnt come with any of the other plates. I didnt look or ask if that was normal, some places do, others dont and we end up emptying out any garlic sauce we get anyways from places like these. We always order extra garlic and petas. We dont get over to this area much and next chance may be in 6 month or a year from now but will have this marked s a fav to revisit when in the area again! Totally plan to order from here again without a doubt!“

“If you are like casual atmosphere of Mediterranean cuisine and its taste - this is the place for you. Plenty of parking as they are located on large plaza. Small space inside and few tables outside. They offer to go food as well. Tandoori chicken with salad was prepared well and variety of sauces add flavor. Bureki is unique to Europe and Asia - they offer them with meat, cheese and potatoes. But It is courtesy of the owner and taste of the food that stands out. Pita + really reminded the place that you find during travels in the new city that only locals know. So locals or guest of the city - I recommend trying food here.“

“This is hands down the best Mediterranean spot I’ve found since moving to Missouri. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The falafel was perfectly made—not over-spiced—and the complimentary dips with pita chips were a great start. The lamb shank was the star of the meal: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
A special thanks to Nikitha, who suggested a couple of dishes for us to try. Her recommendations were spot-on, and we loved everything she pointed us toward. She was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience even better.
The environment was very welcoming, making it a place I’ll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic, delicious Mediterranean food in Missouri!“

“If I could bottle the feeling of joy that comes from an unforgettable meal and serve it to the world, it would taste exactly like Olympia Kebob House & Taverna. Nestled on McCausland in the heart of St. Louis, Olympia is more than just a Greek restaurant,it’s an experience, a destination, and for those of us lucky enough to know it, a weekly ritual. From the moment you walk in, something shifts. You’re no longer in Missouri. The aromas, the laughter, the ambiance, they transport you to a lively taverna in the hills of Athens. And then the food arrives. We started with the Taverna Potato Peels (crispy, golden, addictive). Add a side of Tzatziki, and you’re in trouble (the best kind). Honestly, just go ahead and order extra Tzatziki. You’ll want it with everything. You’ll want it by the spoonful. You’ll wonder how a yogurt-based sauce can make you this emotional. Then came the Gyro Deluxe, a masterpiece of flavor, texture, and satisfaction. It doesn’t just set the bar, it is the bar. The Deluxe Chicken Shish Kebob Platter followed, with juicy, perfectly charred meat and a balance of herbs and seasoning that would impress even the most traditional Greek yiayia. On the side? Spanakorizo… a Greek spinach rice dish that sounds simple but hits with soul. Every bite was warm, fragrant, and comforting in the way that only true home-cooked food can be. And just when we thought we couldn’t be impressed further: Chocolate Bak-Lava. Rich. Decadent. Crisp. Sublime. I’ve traveled. I’ve eaten Greek food in several cities. And yet somehow, nothing prepared me for Olympia. That first time I ate there, I found myself shaking my head after nearly every bite, not because anything was wrong, but because I could never had been prepared for this experience. And the service? As stellar as the food. The staff is genuine, warm, and clearly proud to be part of something this special. They treat you like family, but more importantly, they seem to mean it. If we lived closer, we’d be there twice a day. As it is, we’re still making the trip once or twice a week without fail. That’s how good Olympia is. It’s not just a restaurant. It’s a place that makes you feel thankful, thankful for the food, the people, and the joy of discovering a place that just gets it all so right. Olympia, thank you for what you do. You’ve earned every word of this. THANK YOU!“
“I am always so excited to see Cham Bakery at the WashU Farmer's Market. The first time I went I spent quite a bit of money but not because they are expensive but because I bought a lot. The Zaatar bread, Cheese Pide are exceptional. (I would have taken a picture of the Pide I bought today but sadly it was gone too soon. No, I didn't drop it. I ate it. ) The pita was great, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was fantastic! The woman working the table is so polite and friendly. I believe her husband gets up early in the morning to bake. YES!! It's THAT fresh!!I'm looking forward to trying their hummus and other tasty morsels.I honestly can't recommend this food enough!!“
