Just cutting through town and ran into this restaurant decided to give it a shot. What a great hidden gem if you’re not from that area. I walked in, sat down at the bar for lunch. The bartender Abby was very professional, and polite. Very surprised to find a joint like this way of the beaten path. Well, maybe not way off but a bit far from I55 and really decent food, decent prices. Not cheap like a lot of people in the area would like but the slightly higher price really gets you better food and better atmosphere. My biggest regret is it took me this long to try this place. My intent is to go there at least once every time I’m in the area now.

Words cannot express how great the food is at Sandy Ridge. The brisket falls apart and has great flavor. My wife had chicken and it was equally delicious. The staff and chef are very friendly as well as the owners. We will definitely be making the 2 hour drive back there to eat again.
