An excellent small restaurant I’ve enjoyed over the years, especially the tenderloin. The restaurant was hit by a tornado 5 days ago, and it appears it will be rebuilt just across the street from this original location. I look forward to the reopening!
IDK cafe has excellent food and great service. The prices are very reasonable. Their fried chicken is superb and there are so many homemade sides and desserts to choose from. IDK cafe has a wonderful small town atmosphere. It brings back memories of eating with my grandparents and dad at the ma and pa cafes in Lancaster when I was young. We visited this cafe after reading about it in the Rural Missouri magazine. We were also told about it by our neighbors. I had the fried chicken with spicy fried green beans. The chicken was fried perfectly. It was lightly coated and crispy, which didn't take away from the chicken flavor. The chef knows how to fry chicken. All the pieces of chicken were very juicy.
